about felt pellets

I just bought an Anschutz 8002 s2. :-)
Manual says not to use felt pellets for cleaning. Could someone please explain me why not?

The fibres from the felt pellets can get inside the mechanism of the gun - notably the regulator area - I think it is and cause problems. Also felt pellets don't clean that well - they really just polish the surfaces of the rifling.
