Just trying to start a picture thread so i can see all those beautiful small bore rigs.

Ill start with mine Unique T2000 Free Rifle pretty stock atm i have a few Centra sight parts coming for it in the next few days tho.

And this is how I got into smallbore bought a rifle of gunbroker to find out months later that it was stolen from Ernie Vande Zande.

The one stolen from Ernie - was that from the batch that were taken at Chino (the Los Angeles Olympic shooting ranges)? The rifle looks like it's from that era (1984). Always wondered where they all ended up at.

Hey Mate,

What are the specs on your primary smallbore? Annie 2013 Pricise?? and is that a Centra 10 - 50 rear sight?

Anschutz 2013/2018 rear sight it a Centra the front sight is a 30mm Right sight.

I am interested in the butt-hook attachment. I need to off-set mine and I like the bracket assembly, but how did you attach the hook itself to the bracket?

Hi Dennis,
The hook is from an Anschutz Precise buttplate:



The rod part is threaded for an M5 bolt - that's how the angled piece is attached.
So, after messing around with different ways of attaching it, I eventually took off the angled bit, bolted through the L brackets (that I found in my odds and ends box) to the rod, bolted the brackets together and bolted the whole thing to the carrier plate.

Luckily everything lines up pretty nicely and can be angled outwards to sit just where I need it.

It was an experiment as I have shot without a hook for 10 years and fancied having something new to fiddle with. I couldn't justify spending a whole load of money on a new butt plate and this was a cheap way of doing it.
It certainly hasn't done any harm to my scores.

Pretty is as pretty does, Kenny. I certainly wouldn't trade that rifle for anything in your position.

Is that a 1813 stock that you have shaved the width and depth down on the fore end?

Been thinking of doing that but can't bring myself to attack my 1813 stock.

Actually a 1413 - thinned in width and depth. I went at it with a router and a file about a year ago (or was it two?). Reducing the width got rid of the last of the pain in my thumb and reducing the depth just gets the bore slightly closer to the hand.

I probably reduced the value of the stock to near zero by doing it but at least I'm enjoying shooting the thing.

If you're going to try it, go in small steps and think long and hard before you start....
