I've seen a lot of discussion on this forum about the pluses and minuses of various rifles, and even more about various ammunition for small bore shooting.
I understand that each air rifle has its own "likes" and "dislikes" among the wadcutter pellets on the market, and needs to be tested -- something that takes time and a fair amount of money since pellets come in 500 shot tins. Help me narrow down the field of choice. What pellets would you choose as a baseline to start testing? And once you find what works in your rifle (or pistol) how many pellets would you buy, bearing in mind that some say that pellets have a finite shelf life?
If you were shooting in the finals at the Olympics, whose pellets would you want in your kit? (Steyr just posted a reminder in the Olympic Pistol forum that the LP-10 holds all the current championships, but they didn't say whose pellets were used. ;-) )
Many thanks!
