I didn't even know that this event existed until I saw the link at the bottom of the webpage http://usashooting.org/rulebook.php
Does anyone here know about or shoot "5 shot air pistol" matches?
If so, how do you like and how does it size up to single shot matches?

Here in the UK we have been shooting the "Rule 8.20" matches since 2001 when they replaced the ISSF "Provisional Rules" matches which had been announced in 1997.
IMHO they are fun to shoot, with the Five Target match providing instant feedback, increasing the pressure on the shooter.
We actually shoot the Air Pistol Standard event on turning targets rather than the stationary targets specified in the ISSF rules.
These events do not attract the same level of entries as the traditional matches.
Asking how the compare to the single shot matches is like asking how 50m Pistol compares to Rapid Fire Pistol. They are totally different matches.

Re: 5 shot air pistol competitions?
Since they are in the USAS rules, people just need to organize and shoot this match. A 5-shot AP is a blast to shoot!Kyan wrote:I didn't even know that this event existed until I saw the link at the bottom of the webpage http://usashooting.org/rulebook.php
