Torque settings on a wooden 1913 super match

Hello!
I have a problem on my trigger mechanism(never cleaned for many years from previous owners)
Since I have pull the first stage,sometimes the releasing stage is heavier than usual.
Some friends told me that the springs are dirty?
I am going to disassemple the action from the wood stock tomorrow in order to clean the trigger but how much must I tighten it back together?

I believe that Anschutz recommends 5 newtons for the wooden stocks. Yours may shoot better with less. You have to experiment.

I would agree with the above post unless your stock has been glass bedded. If it has, I would recommend 5 and a half newtons. I have a 1907 an a 1813 wood stock, and it seems to work with this setting.

It is time and money, but you really need to do test groups at different torque settings. My 1813 with the particular batch of Eley match I have at the the best setting is 4.5Kn. But if your not so worried about achieving a certian group size 5Kn would be Std.
