Szarenski 3rd in Sydney World Cup 50M pistol

Post by RobStubbs »

I've just seen Daryl got 3rd spot in todays mens 50M pistol after a shoot of for 2nd and 3rd place. 567 and 94.9 followed by 10.0 and 9.2 in the shoot off.

See http://www.issf-sports.org/photoplayer.aspx

for details. There's also an interview with him on the ISSF website.

Way to go Daryl! That final was neck to neck till the last shot. It's nice to see the USA on the top sometimes.

Good as he shot, he wasn't on top, 'just' 3rd.

Daryl was also in the finals in the mens air pistol after qualifying with 578. I think he finished 6th in that (?). The other 2 Americans shot 574.

Szarenski free pistol training:

120 shots in the morning
followed by trigger work ( Dry Fire?! )

60 shots in the afternoon
followed by physical training
