REM 40X HELP
I just bought a rem 40x from cmp. haven;t shot 3 p smallbore since mid eighties. excited to start again. but where do i get a handstop? which one? dont want to buy the wrong one. waste money which one is comfortable? also which sling to buy? mid price? not the best just something better than say low grade. thanks for any help.
Handstops are a personal thing. I would suggest you see if any of your fellow shooters have a spare or extra handstop you can try. That way, at least you will know what you DON"T want and save some cash.
Check on different forums, like Long Range . com. People are always selling items like there. You can also post what you are looking for.
One thing that I have found about the 40X wood stocks, they were designed for prone shooting. Without an adjustable cheekpiece or butt plate, the other positions are not comfortable. But hey, give it a try, you may fit that factory stock better than me.
