Avanti 887 trigger mods

Hello, I am looking for some instructions on how to modify the trigger for a Avanti 887. I have adjusted the trigger pull down as much as I can but the trigger pull is still just shy of 3 pounds. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The instructions that are for a Daisy 853 work for the 888/887 as well.

The Ole Mill site has Tom Johnson's Sporter Tips in PDF ... good instructions
