FWB AW93 doesn't load last bullet

Lately I have had many times when the last bullet doesn't load, and the slide opens and locks after the fourth bullet is shot, the way it does when a magazine is empty.
Has anybody seen or had this problem before? Any ideas on how to fix this?

It sounds like the slide stop spring is weak, or missing.

Take the slide stop spring out and bend it a bit to open it up a little.

If it's missing, you can make a new one with a guitar string. High E, .015 gauge. It will work 100% with a little finesse and fitting. (This is for the new version with the top release, not the old version with the lever)

Missing. Interesting, bought the gun new and it has less than a thousand rounds trough it, not the reliability I was expecting.
Could you elaborate on how to make a spare with guitar string?

I contacted the retailer and the manufacturer, but if it is something simple why bother, and apparently it will be happening a few more times, so I better get good at fixing it.
The gun is less than 6 months old, and has less than a thousand rounds through it, not what I expected from this brand.
On to the fix!

Paulo, I hope this helps you.

It's as simple as this.
No explanation is really necessary.
Just bend a guitar string into this shape and if it's too weak, you will know it by the slide locking back early.
If it's too strong, the slide might bounce out of the notch.

It's very easy to get it right, and when it's right, it will function 100%. Permanently. It won't wear out.

The reason it's missing, is because when it was being cleaned, it sprung out of the universe, never to be seen again.

I believe that they changed the design a bit after serial # 20000, mine is a bit different but it will work fine, I am also using .30mm wire, and I see you used .38mm, it should be fine.
Its up and running, thank you very much for the help.

Update: After contacting FWB, they are sending me a spring free of charge. That certainly changes my first opinion about the reliability of the product.
