Junior program funding sources?

Post by BG Rifle Team »

Looking for some suggestions.

We currently get annual funding from Friends of the NRA, local gun club, and individual contributions.

What other entities are out there that you all have had success with?

Thanks!

Some larger companies donates funds to charitable organizations that their employees donate time to. The organization must be a 501c3 like 4H. The donations are based on the hours worked for the charity.

We receive funding from the employer of 2 parents that volunteer their time to our 4H program.

We have had great luck with having the shooters work local food events like crab feeds and spaghetti dinners for Legion, italian club and other local organizations. We raised about $5000 last year working these events.

Also, I found that most local civic organizations such as Kawanas are more then willing to donate thousands to youth groups. It just takes a lot of calls to all of them listed along with having the kids show up at a breakfast or meeting to explain what they do.

The best advice is to use the kids to raise the money. People like donating when they see them speak about their sport as well as work events. The kids also end up appreciating the fact that they raised the funds and it is not just handd to them.

Good Luck.
