Support for Scatt vs. Rika or others?

Post by melchloboo »

I'm hearing different things about the availability and ease of support for these different systems.

I'd like to know which you have, and what if any experience you've had when you've needed support. Right now it seems to me like this forum is the best support system? What are people here using?

Thanks

I use the Rika.

When I found an odd issue with some of the statistics that were collected I reported it then I got an email back asking for my phone number so they could call me (I'm in Australia). It was no big issue and I had completely forgotten about replying to then until now (I was quite ill at the time).

Cheers

Hi I got the Scatt, and I belive you are wright. This forum is by far the
best support. I had a question about Scatt compatibility with Vista.
The forum gave me an answer, in just a few days. I also e-mailed Scatt
with the question, and I have not heard from them yet.

I have had recent success with responses back from Scatt. Off the collar questions like what kind of cable is used to how I can position the USB receiver on the rifle were all answered relatively quickly (within days).

I would give them another shot if you still can't find your answer.

Here's what happened when I sent in a question:

Yes, they responded quickly, but obviously there is a language gap.

Have you tried asking the official Scatt dealers in your country; in your case Center Shot Sports.

Fluorescent bulbs are best either regular or compact. Place them above (not below) the target. Infrared (heat or incandescent lamps can cause interference (it looks like mirage and causes sawtooth instead of smooth trace lines).

SCATT

Scatt is by far the best for me. Yes, I have used Noptel and Rika...All are good. Depends what you are looking for, as each have their "best bits"

My preference is SCATT for its ease of use and quality of data. Now using Windows 7 with SCATT - no issues at all.

Find an experienced SCATT coach in your area, or even country. Most issues are resolved in minutes. Remember that there are many pieces of information on all of these electronic trainers - don't get bound up with the irrelevant. Use the essentials - group size, trace approach, co-ordination, speed and work with the bits that wll help.

Enjoy training

Trouble getting SCATT to work with Windows 7

Post by Heman »

I was running SCAT on XP and I just purchased a new laptop that has Windows 7. I installed the software but when I plug in the sensors Windows doesn't recognize them. I went to the scatt website and downloaded the newest software and drivers for the 32/64 bit operating systems. The software version 5.74 installed just fine. However the drivers said files were missing. Just wondering what I need to do since I see people are getting it to work with Windows 7. If you would please email me at sagne@embarqmail.com as I'd greatly appreciate it. I've been using this system alot for NRA Highpower and it helps.
