IZH-46M Pellets Sticking

Post by trobeson »

I have an IZH-46M that I just bought used. I am using Coleman Competition 4.5mm pellets. The first shot the pellet does not fire. Only seats a little into the chamber. Second shot fires fine and accurate. Am I doing something wrong?

Ensure that your pellets are seated so the skirt is flush with the back of the barrel and ensure your breach seals are in good condition. Either issue will cause the symptoms you are describing.

I find my 46M prefers 4.49mm pellets. they are easier to load and seat properly. The H&N Match work great or Nygord pellets if you can find them.

I also have an Izzy 46M, and have found that the H&N match (3011) shoot the best groups of all tested. I have put about 500+ rounds through the gun with no problems. I am shooting 4.5s in this pistol, the same as my Izzy rifle. Make sure your seals are good.
