Toz-35 need help

Post by A74BEDLM »

I have a Toz-35 that I just aquired but the manual is in German - I have downloaded the english one but to be honest I am still a bit lost.

I took the pistol apart to clean and a part fell off and another is broken and I need help identifying their orientation on refit.

First is the leaf spring item # 70 on Fig 4 - its a small spring on the firing pin bolt - it was broken I have a spare but not sure where the right angled leaf part should fit.

Second is Item 64 - on Fig 4 - which fell off when I removed the pin during strip down.

If anyone has a Toz-35 and can take pictures that would be great.

Thanks

How many times do I regret not photographing something before dismantling it? And still I never learn...

The right-angled leaf spring fits so that the leaf bears on the back part of the sear which holds the pin cocked. It therefore lies under the pin assembly, pointing forwards.

I hope we are talking about the same part 64. In my manual, this lies in the forked upper end of the loading / cocking lever. I think it can only fit in one orientation. A rectangular projection points to the left, and lies behind the back face of the left arm of the fork. Spring 61 bears on the back of this tab. On cocking, the 'beak' of part 64, which faces forwards, snaps into the notch on the underside of the breech block, left side.

Apologies, technology takes too much time, but a picture would have been better, wouldn't it? Hope this wordy reply does the job.
