Sights are wandering
For some reason, especially when I shoot prone, it's as if the sight picture changes. I get it sighted in on one sighter target, move up just a little bit to the next one, and it completely changes. What's happening?
A lot depends on if you are maintaining the same "cheek weld" on the comb of the stock. If not the group will move even if it looks the same.
Also, how are you "moving it up".. If you are not actually changing your NPA, but just holding the rifle higher or using breathing to make the vertical change, you can see differences when your position relaxes as you fire the shot.
Try shooting during the "natural respiratory pause" (no breath held in your lungs) and changing elevation by shifting your hips SLIGHTLY forward or backward. Watch thru the sights while you do this, and see what happens.
