indicating inner-10s

Post by Spencer »

While 6.9.1.2.4+ gives the method for indicating shots for 25M, there is no procedure for indicating an inner-10.

it seems only right that Xs have their own 'signal' with the wand - while I have my own proposal, how do others suggest this be done (or even if it is necessary/a good idea)?

ps/ for information, the calling and recording we use in AUS is at http://www.australiancynic.com/NRC_information06.pdf

Whilst I have no strong feelings about this, my personal opinion is that a special wanding signal for an X is not needed.

The X does not change the score and is therefore less important than the difference between an 8 and a 9, and we don't wand those differently.

I know the same can be said about the difference between a 9 and a 10, and we wand those differently, but that is what the rules call for.

I feel that a different call, "X" as opposed to "Ten", is all that is needed.

(If the shooter needs to rely on the number of inners then he should have shot better)
