Those are the 2005 1st Printing, not even the 2nd or 3rd Printings. Any of these would now be out of date in many ways.

If you want the latest ISSF 2009 1st Printing rules then you should download them dirrectly from the ISSF web site

The correct rule number is now 8.9 (but the box details haven't changed).

Thanks. USAS is not really helping out their shooters if they are posting material THAT dated. Are they training our Olympic athletes from the 2005 rules? I'll send them an e-mail.

So does this mean that if the slide for the box wont quiet slide over the grip but by no more than 1mm it is still legal. I just made a new grip and it passed at state titles and then last weekend at the Australia cup it wouldnt quiet pass

No. It's the box that has the tolerance, not the gun. If the box is made to the exact size then that is what the gun has to fit in to.

Provided that the box at the Australia Cup was not under-sized, you need to remove some material from your grip.

If you are looking for 8.16.0 in the latest ISSF rules then you will be looking for a long time I'm afraid. There is no such rule.

As I said in an earlier post, the current rule number with the box details is 8.9.

You then have 8.10 (Drawings and Measurements) and 8.11 (Pistol Index) before it goes to 8.20 for the Five Shot Air Pistol Events.
