Ruger Legal For Standard Pistol?

Post by Joe58 »

Hi ~ Just a quick question on the rules for firearms in standard pistol.

I just want to try a match for fun and have both the Ruger MK2 with the 5 1/2" bbl, as well as the Government Model with the longer bbl.

Which one, or both, is legal for standard pistol?

I know neither one would be the pistol of choice for standard pistol, but as I mentioned, I just want to give a try for fun before the air pistol match and wanted to know which is legal.

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure, but I think the long barrel is too long for the box, but the 5 1/2 should be fine.

I think the Ruger is a great gun for standard pistol.

The maximum barrel length for ISSF 25m pistols is 153mm.

For semiautomatics that includes the chamber. For revolvers that excludes the cylinder.
