Pfuff free pistol from Spiller

After browsing a little on the Allermann website I came across a free pistol called Pfuff http://www.allermann.de/artikeldetails. ... 0000000047

I never heard of it and it is hard to find any info on the internet. Does anyone know anything about this gun. History, quality, anecdotes etc?

Mr. Pfuff was a German FP shooter, who one day in the 1980's decided to build his own free pistol. Somebody told me he died some years ago, and I'm not sure if the pistol has been in production since then. The pistol is a classic Martini design, built mainly with steel parts. Pretty heavy, but nicely made. From what I've seen (my father has one in his collection) I'd compare it to the "age" of a Hammerli 150. There were several articles about it in Visier magazine, but I doubt if many pistols have found their way out of Germany. I've seen several versions (octagon barrels, different sights), but the differences seem to be mainly cosmetic.

Tycho, Your Right about the Pfuff pistol or mr. Werner Pfuff as the inventor.
Allermann took over his parts after his death and continiued to build these pistols. It is a rather old fashion build pistol, only trigger mechanism is uptodate. If i recall right Mr. pfuff designed this pistol for people with rather small hands. (like himself) Also i think the Swiss national record is shot with a Pfuff. Visier has tested the pistol once and later written an article about Werner Pfuff
