How to read a S/N

Post by spacestout »

I specifically wonder how to find information regarding my Anschutz LP-@. The serial number seems different as it starts with an A, A120158. I would like to find out if this gun was pre-production, early production, meant for European sales, or what. If someone can answer my ultimate question, great.

If not, any suggestions on where to turn to look up such a S/N?

Best suggestion I have is to email Anschutz, I'm sure they know.

The "A" may simply be a designator given at the Steyr Fabrik to note that that particular series of frames were part of the "A"nschutz LP-@ lot. Just a hunch.

The anschutz website says they'll research a S/N for 50 Euros and that it may take some time. Maybe the bluebook, which I don't own, has some info.
