Question On Walther Weights On Ebay

Post by shadow »

Can someone tell me what Walther these weights are for? They do not look like OPS weights.

the old round barrel OSP (.22 short)?
I remember a dovetail under the barrel on mine, though the weight I had was 'rounded'.

They almost look like Hammerli weights. Wasn't there a joint Hammerli/Walther pistol? BTW, I emailed the seller and they never replied.

They look like weights from a Hammerli 280

I don't think there is any Hammerli connection. The 280 has no dovetail, and at that time Hammerli was completely independent from Walther. The Hammerli/Walther pistols from the early 50s have a different weight system, and no dovetail either. My bet would be on the early OSP, too.

Hi. I bought the weights. Really fast shipping from France. Just like new.
They look like riser blocks.
