Greg, I had one on a 3 day trial late summer. I currently shoot a Unique DES69 and was looking for a new gun. I thought the MG-2 was the trickest most advanced looking pistol I had ever seen. I had no problems with the tubular magazines and no functioning problems of any kind. I have had a 3 level c...

John,
You know...
That is about the best use of the tins that I have heard.
I think I will try it this coming year.
Thanks!

Spencer, I'll have to beg your foregiveness and plead my ignorance but I am not familiar with camphor. I did a google search on it and found it comes from the camphor tree. Do you use it like wax and make a candle from it? I would be interested in finding out more. I have a carbide miners lamp but y...

How 'bout this... We can send all our tin lids, the Vogels anyway, to Scott. He can take a picture of Buck, Mr & Mrs Potter, himself, Rhonda and family. Make many copies. Cut them out in a circular pattern that will fit the inside of the lid. Punch a hole in the lid for a string. Send them out t...

pellet tins

OK, I've been dying to ask this question but have been afraid to up til now...
What does everybody do with their empty pellet tins?
I hate to just throw them away but the only use I can think of is to keep from losing count how many pellets I have shot.
Thanks!
Let the flames begin...

Patrick,
Wow!
Congrats!
I am awaiting the results so that I may become an "appointed" coach.
Just a baby step up the ladder you have climbed.
Once again, congratulations!

He may be looking for plans for the wooden cases smallbore shooters in the US (and elsewhere?) used to use. They had room for most of the "stuff". I never owned one but shot in an indoor pistol league back in the '70s that followed a junior smallbore program. Most of them had these wooden ...

JH, I am enjoying your comments on TT re: the JROTC situation. About a year ago I had the oppourtunity to take over the shooting programs for a city parks & rec dept. Although I was a competivie pistol shooter for over 30 years I had -0- coaching experience and next to -0- rifle shooting experie...

Sitting here thinking about the posts on this subject this morning... I am sure the vast, vast majority of the JROTC shooting programs are run by excellent folks. It could be a lot like little league though. There are some very good coaches and some not so good coaches. Sitting here wondering why th...

They show an email address. Try writing them and see if they take MasterCard or Visa, etc. Euro conversion was over 1.3 X Euro = $ last time I checked. Have to factor in mailing it over as well. Back in the mid-80's I was an R/C helicopter hotrock. There were a lot of parts available in Europe that ...

Don, I beiieve it's USA Shooting rather than the NRA that is developing the new Progressive-Position Air Pistol program although I know the NRA has had a lot of input. Here is the page on the USAS website that discusses it and lists the rules etc.: http://www.usashooting.com/Youth/YouthP/Youthp.cfm ...

Jerry, It is an interesting effect that it locks out the world's problems. I know that it really does take me away. I think the wife worried at first..."oh no! he's mad as blazes and he's going to get a gun"! But that's not the case. It has a very calming effect. I am sure it has to do wit...

Bill, I have loaded a few thousand rounds for my Unique .32 on a 550B with good success. If the powder measures are common make sure your "fail safe rod" operates fully with some authority. This is regulated by the wingnut that controls the little return spring. If this "fail safe rod...

Off call ap shots

I have been having off call shots lately with my LP10.
At least once every 10 shots I get a shot into the 8 ring at 2:00 o'clock that I don't call.
The only thing I can come up with is I am "thumbing" the gun.
Does anyone have any other suggestions/diagnosis?
Thanks!

There have been absolutely no mechanical issues whatever.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Marvel for rapid fire

I don't own a Marvel but I have shot a couple. Their attraction is for the NRA Conventional shooter who believes the commonality in grip will help there centerfire and .45 scores. While accurate I think there are far better choices. I felt the gun had an odd feel when it cycled. It kind of waived ar...
