There shouldn't be ANY leakage of air from those two holes, or indeed from the breech area. If air is definitely escaping from one of the holes, the grubscrew is missing. A good engineer's supply shop should be able to sell you a replacement. If air is escaping from the breech, the 'o'-ring inside t...

I have an Anschutz LP@, and just had a good look at the front end. The compensator has a bore of around 5mm, and the actual barrel starts 40mm back from the muzzle. There are drillings at the sides, base, and upper quadrants of the comp, near the muzzle end. So the answer is no, the barrel itself is...

...are that the cost and effort of travelling to Pilkguns will be more than worth it. By talking to Warren in person, you'll get sound and honest advice. You'll be able to handle (and maybe even test-fire) a number of pistols, and this is a vital part of making the best selection. You'll also be est...

I assume you are refilling pistol cylinders? I shoot an Anschutz LP@, and use an FX high pressure pump to recharge my cylinders. Two reasons for this - NZ has fairly strict rules around scuba tank ownership and refilling, and I live in a rural area, and would have to trek into town to get a scuba ta...

Acknowledging excellent service
I've just returned to NZ from a holiday in australia, where I arranged to buy an Anschutz LP pistol from Potter Firearms. Rob Potter really pulled out all the stops, and gave me a really good deal. He arranged the onerous export pap[erwork, then even trekked some 25km through Monday morning traffic ...

What's happened to High Noon?
I've tried all the links, but everything comes up "page not available". Has Grzegorz terminated the competition and taken down the site?? I sincerely hope not, as I enjoyed competing each month, and comparing my efforts to other international shooters. Anyone have any info? Grzegorz, are y...

Hi James, I too have been in touch with Pilkington's re this pistol. At present they have no stock, and are not certain as to how long it'll be before new stock comes in. If you are in the USA, I suggest you do an internet search and see if you can turn one up. For me, though, its a question of bein...

With the greatest repect, I would point out that ANY pistol is really only as good as the person shooting it. In the hands of an expert shot, the FWB Mod 2 would still produce world class scores. On the other hand, give me a Morini 162EI with all the bells and whistles, and I'll still only manage a ...

New Baikal MP-672
Has anyone heard any further news of this pistol? Baikal still shows its picture with "Pre-production" under it. I believe someone from Canada (?) had heard it'd be available toward the end of this year - any info?
Thanks,

FWB65 wanted
Hi WeeHooker, not sure where you're posting from - there's a FWB65 showing on NZ's online auction. Here's the URL: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Sports/Archery-shooting/Air-guns/auction-21154074.htm If you're from the USA, it'll seem very expensive, but remember to divide NZ$ by 1.4 to get approx US$. If...

Old(er) APs
Hey Patrick - you're so right. Its very easy to get conned into the "if it ain't the latest, its inferior" way of thinking. This is how the car industry thrives. I drive a really old car, but it works fine, and does all I require it to. Likewise, my air pistol is an oldie but a goodie, and...
