Sight blocks will not effect sensitivity to cant at all!
Yes,it might give you better eye elignment.
Maybe you didn't rase your cheek piece to the correct hight,or maybe your neck muscels are strained now.

Re: Commercial .22 test rigs
Exactly,that's the one.
but I have changed it. In my rig,the rifle is tightened to the rig at 2 points on the bandstop rail. Shoots much better like that.

Re: Commercial .22 test rigs
I'm. Using for many years a rig built by a German shooter named Ulli Lind.
It is similar to the Tec Hro rig but more rigid.
It goes back and up and returnes to zero.
I haven't tried the Tec Hro rig,but it should work just fine.

Peter,
I'm sure the barrel vibration are different when Shooting from a solid vice compared to Shooting from the shoulder. The recoil makes the barrel oscilationes bigger, allowing positive compensation.

Re: Buy a tuner or not?
Bryan,
In order to get positive compensation, you need the rifle to recoil.
I'm sure PRX works, because I have tested it.
I think that it will be better if Tony will answer you about PRX...
Dr Kolbe's rig can recoil. I have posted the pictures in another thread here.

Re: Buy a tuner or not?
Bryan,
I don't know which kind of vice you have used, but if it's a solid vice which doesn't recoil, tuning will do nothing!
In order to tune the rifle for positive compensation, you need to use a bench which recoils,or shoot from the shoulder,or sand bag...

Re: Buy a tuner or not?
Kevin, I have different experience than you had.I have tested many rifles in my shooting career, and every one of them shot better with a bloop tube, and a tuner.(I haven't tried reverese tapered barrels). From my experience, with the right placement of the tuner, and the right length of tube, every rif...

Re: Buy a tuner or not?
Bryan, I don't think that Tony ever said that the muzzle should be still. In my opinion, the muzzle can never be still... I use PRX because it works! I think that PRX+ tuner is even better. I use both methods to tune. It works for me,and for many international high level shooters.Moving the tuner weig...

Re: Buy a tuner or not?
Bryan, The reason I made my tubes to be about 220gr,are the experiments I have made together with Dr. Kolbe. We have found out, that much heavier mass doesn't allow us to get positive compensation. I haven't try 2 identical weights, with different length tubes on the same barrel. I have tried my long ...

Re: Buy a tuner or not?
Bryan, I don't sell the tubes in 2 lengthens....(19 and 32cm). I'm using 2 different harmonies to get the 2 lengthens. One of the harmonies will give about 19cm+-1.5cm, and the other harmoney will give about 32cm,+-2cm,depending on barrel length. There is another harmoney that Tony gave me which giv...

Re: Buy a tuner or not?
Kevin, Regarding front aperture, We have aperture size, and ring thickness, which i find, very important for sight picture.I'm traying to have the thickness of the front aperture,at the same width of the white ring. When the front aperture is bigger,I like to have the the ring thicker,so they will alwa...

Re: Bee sting tuner
Justin, No worries! I know Tony's formula(prx) works, because I have tried it on many rifles, and I have seen the improvment, time and time again! The SCT has 2 more features which makes it work better: The collar on the muzzle is very short(only 25mm),which makes the chock closer to the muzzle. Its li...

Re: Bee sting tuner
Tom, Tony's theory doesn't suggest that both of your rifles will be in tune with the weight of the tuner in identical positiones.Tube length calculated by prx + tuner setting (which will be different for every rifle) will let you achieve the best results. All the aspects you have mentioned do matter...
