Aha ok. I understand.

A bit strange but if he doesn't want to then I guess we have to respect that.

In just about every competition I go to where it's a mix of pistol and rifle (I'm a pistol shooter) the rifle shooters will always release air a couple of times before starting with the sighters. Basicly no exceptions to it, they always do it.

Re: 84 e

Not sure you can get a Bore snake through an 84 E unless you take the grip off? John Why not? The boresnake is not stiff. It will go through an 84E without even a hint of a problem. In fact you can either go through the hole in the back of the grip or you can just shove it in like a cartridge. I ca...

The first step is to tell yourself that it does NOT affect your shooting performance, 'cause I think this is just mentally in your head. My other hobby/sport is Downhill bicycling! That's pretty gruesome to the hands, elbows and basicly the whole body compared to playing a violin, but it didn't stop...

They tried to ban all use of lead and almost got away with it... So this is probably the "retaliation" against the people who stoped the ban.
There is absolutely no logic behind this.

Lead taxes in Sweden

Hey, dig this: Authorities wants to enforce a tax/fee on lead in ammunition here in Sweden. And they want to do it really good! How about this: 1000sek/kg of lead. This is about €90/kg!! A .22lr cartridge will almost QUADRUPLE in price! Hehe yeah that's right. And how about this: a regular .45ACP 23...

Why would a long arm wobble more than a short arm?

If you pick up a round (a stone for example) object with a weight of 1kg and try to wobble it you will find no trouble doing that. Now try the same with a 6ft stick with the same weight. ;)

Records are made to be broken.... Talking about records, if you scroll down to position 21 in the Rapid Fire match in Milan you find the name of, IMHO, the greatest ISSF pistol shooter ever; Afanasijs Kuzmins. On the assumption that he will fill the RFP Olympic wild card quota place given to Latvia...

Don't waste time and money on the .22lr from magtech. They are really really bad.

For real? Is there really a problem with scores in RFP nowadays? It's not like you have 597 to make the final and a long hard shootoff with 3 shooters at 600+208 points. What benefits would you get in changing to the SP target? The best will still win, and the others will not. And the beginners will...

Just a wee bit curious. Free 60 shots @ 50 yards 1,5min/shot Ok, so this is the 50m FP event, I got that. But 50 yards? That's like 5 meters short, right? I used to shoot a lot of PPC and that was @ 50 yards and if I remember correctly that was only ~45 meters. And then there is that 1,5min/shot? Is...

Re: One more thing...

The sights don't work. Patrick and the front sight is canted ... man... it is amazing they can shoot any 10s with this :-p Hey, I shot 578 and placed 9th in Plzen last year in AP with a canted sight! But when people started explaining to me that it sucked with a canted sight I started thinking abou...

Best final score, with decimals? Well, interesting. An expanded aspect of same topic: What is the best 10 shot string, with decimals, ever shot during any qualification or final, during any world-cup, world champ. or olympic match? With electronic targets of today, that could be calculated at the m...

Do you intend to improve upon that record? :-) Just curiuos, but I could try at least. =) I'm still trying to reach 99... shot 98,9 on the swedish national team selection for the european championships and a couple of +100 during training, but that doesn't really count. But as I said, I was mostly ...

FP Final world record

Does anybody know what the record for just the final in FP is? I've seen results around 101 points, but someone must have shot a better final than that?

The scores in FP are much higher! 571 and 570 in the lead and overall (except perhaps Ekimov) good final scores with one shooter @ 101,0 points!
