Walther vintage sight aperture thread size ?
I bought a pre WWII sporterized German training rifle with what I believe is a Walther rear sight. I found a photo of the same style sight and it was referred to as a "round" or "sport" sight. The threaded portion of the aperture measures .253". No idea what the pitch is. Do...

Good guess.

How old before accessories aren't worth selling??
I have a used butt plate with hook, and a hand stop from a 1984 1800 series rifle. Are things this old still sought by shooters?? If I get a couple "yes" replies, I'll list them in the "Buy, Sell, Trade" area. If not, I'll throw them back in my "stuff I'll never use drawer&q...

Re: Anschutz 6702 or 7002 ??
Thank you for the detailed answer. My eyesight is fine now thanks to cataract surgery a few years ago. It's just that .250" groups look so much better than .600" groups.... Hmmm, I think you may be disappointed. I don't think that a new rearsight will tighten your groups that much, unless...

Re: Anschutz 6702 or 7002 ??
Assuming your current sight is working fine from a mechanical standpoint, the only real advantage of the 7002 sight is the ability to adjust for cant in your position. The ability to bring the elevation and windage knobs back to true vertical and true horizontal is a big advantage when you have the...

Anschutz 6702 or 7002 ??
I'm a "mature", non-competitive shooter who still enjoys using aperture sights. Most of my shooting now is from a bench with an occasional target or two standing if my back permits. I have an Anschutz 1811 with the 6702 rear sight and it work fine, but I'm wondering whether the 7002 rear s...

Re: Where to look for Feinwerkbau 601 Sights ?
Cibles Canada Targets will probably have what you want. They've got an EBay store as well as regular website. Here's a link to their EBay store: Cibles I've bought a bunch of stuff from them (including parts for my FWB 602 and a new FWB 800 Evolution Top) and have been VERY pleased with their servi...

Where to look for Feinwerkbau 601 Sights ?
Are there any companies that still sell a set of sights for the older rifles or are Ebay and WTB ads my best option?

Re: Loading a SSP question
The rifle that caught the thumb was either an M1 rifle or a "springer". A SSP would never do that. Just be careful what you stick in the breech. Thank you for the reply. Could it have been an older "recoilless" like a FWB 300?? Only if the anti-bear trap mechanism had been tampe...

Loading a SSP question
I don't have a SSP air rifle yet but am considering either the FWB 601 or Anschutz 2001. I've looked at the Anschutz manual and tried to find information about the FWB but still have to ask: Do you load both of these while the cocking lever is opened which I believe opens the breech and then close t...

Source for Anschutz prone stocks ??
Can someone please direct me to one or two companies that might have the older 1411 or 1811 prone stocks for sale. As my latest round of buying and trading is winding down, it seems that I have a barreled action left over and need to make a complete rifle of it.

Need advice on my Anschutz accessories
I bought an Anschutz 1813 with quite a few accessories that I will never use. It was an all or nothing situation and I wanted the rifle; at least the barreled action. I am not a competitive shooter. I shoot informally in the on-line matches at Rimfire Central and wanted to move up to a better rifle....
