Re: Fwb corkscrew barrel
It is to show that a straight bbl. is not important. This handgun put them all into the same hole. It's an old photo.

kowa tsn-4
My older Kowa focuses down to 10 yds. I have the 25X EER eyepiece (extended eye relief) - you do not have to take your glasses off to use nicely.
This is the short story.

Re: Proper lubrication?
I've always use ATF (automatic transmission fluid). Can't hurt any seals or o-rings. Transmission are full of o-rings and nylon type devices, switches, and normally run at about 250 F degrees. ATF is really benign.

Re: Torque Wrench -- #4405 -- worthy of purchase?
Marky, I'm with you on the bending beam torque wrenches. Nothing is more consistent/accurate as a bending beam torque wrench - or for that matter gravity type powder scales. I'm old school and have seen/read all the issues with the more "modern" devices. Phooey! I don't want unneeded drama...

Try this link. I'm going to be out of town for a week.

This was crude but effective. I eventually bought a "sound slave" to trip the small Honeywell. Both methods worked perfectly.

Re: Stuck pellets in 8001
Back in my divorcee apartment-rat days, I used to do some stop action photography. This was with a S&W model 76 ? C02 gun. I used a borrowed Speedgraphic press camera with Polaroid adapter. A small Honeywell strobe was triggered by the two wires at the muzzle. Anyhow, I once accidentally loaded ...

Re: Some Help understanding Trigger Adjustment
Although I don't own that rifle, all your thoughts are correct. This applies to nearly all triggers - with some variation. The "trigger power" must be the spring tension that keeps the sear engaged. Goofy term they use and confusing. So basically it helps control the second-stage pull off ...

Re: FWB 300
I once put a Macarri spring in my 300. I took measurements of the old spring and the new. After a few months I removed the Macarri and returned to the original. The Macarri had shrunk over an inch - although shot very little. The Macarri was supposed to be extra strong, but I didn't like the way the...

If Neal can't help you, you might personal message Jim E.
Mr. Edmonton imports and sells a lot of SSPs here, and he could point you in the right direction. Just a thought. Maybe someone here has his email. I think it begins with troutman...........?
Good luck

Re: Anschutz SuperAir 2002 questions
There is a "V" shaped plastic bumper that keeps the cocking handle from banging into the stock. I had to replace one of mine a couple of years ago. Your bumper may be missing. The charging handle shoud be closed without undo force or snap. If you need a picture, I can send you that. I boug...

Re: Loading a SSP question
On my Anschutz SuperAirs, loading the pellet, and closing the breech are the last events. I've have a 2001 and a couple of 2002s. If you ever have the inclination to mount a scope, the 2001 is the first choice. Then comes the 2002 close behind. As we age, scopes are more sensible for shooting horsef...

Re: Where is the 10m Air rifle distance measured from?
Well, I guess you are right. The same people are going to win. Basketball hoops should be an approximates size and almost circular, and high enough. Football goalposts should be almost this wide. The Wimbledon tennis court should be appoximately to size. And look pretty close to rectangular. What th...

Re: Where is the 10m Air rifle distance measured from?
In my basement I have shooting bench. I have long wondered how far from the target face should my rifle be. To the end of the bbl/bloop tube (i.e. Anschutz SuperAir)? To the crown on the rifled bbl? The rifled bbl. being about 15" long. At my feet? At the front edge of the shooting bench? At th...

Re: FWB 300 front sight swap
Did you look at the stock on ebay? It was 99 bucks. It was not an universal, but would allow you to modify it without destroying the value in your rifle. There are stock workers out there that could turn it into what you want.

To the original poster. There is a FWB 300 stock on ebay for sale. 99.00 I think. You can experiment on that if you want.

Re: Fitting my FWB 300S
You might want to contact Jim E. about trade for a Universal model. This way you can remove and replace the comb without destroying anything. Don't whittle on that one.
It might cost you a few bucks, .....but right now you are backed into a corner with no good way out.

Re: Set trigger
conradin, I too like double-set triggers. I would love for someone to produce them for the Remington 700 series. Since no one makes them, I'm presently looking for a Canjar Single-set trigger for my 40X. I should have bought a few back in the '70s. But no,.........I was infatuated with the Hart 2 oz...

Re: Feinwerkbau 300s lower weight?
Nano, There is such a thing as a “junior” 300 model. Jim E. posts here all the time and sometimes has one for sale. Let him know that you would prefer a Universal model if possible. It has the adjustable cheek-piece and makes a world of difference. Not sure if the junior model has this option or not...

Re: FWB 300S - Replacement seals
Here's a good place to get the seals in one place. I just got a kit a few weeks ago for my 300S U. Lots of folks buy from him as he stocks the latest items. The 300 is very easy to take down and rebuild, and there are plenty of tutorials out there. I used a thick moly grease (60%) for the steel pist...
