This thread has me thinking..
What if one were to create a tube made up of several concrete cone-shaped plant pots that have their bases cut out to replicate suppressor baffles? Perhaps find tires of appropriate size to fill the gaps between the pots.

Re: Anterior Pelvic Tilt
Thanks for the link, Pat. Those exercises look good, different from the core stuff I'm used to. They seem a lot more isometric. I'm fairly sure besides adding some specific stretches for APT, the exercises are similar. Perhaps I should have asked a less explicit question about lower back pain for ri...

Anterior Pelvic Tilt / Lower back pain
Been away from rifle shooting for quite awhile now, 3 years, but am getting back into it. Got the kit and air rifle out, and found my way back into form. Things start to feel familiar again except for one thing- my lower back HURTS. I haven't necessarily been letting my fitness decline, it's actuall...

Re: Buying first target pistol; have a few questions
I just read their schedule. I knew matches were shot there, but I had no idea they're the place in the area for most held international style matches. Looks like a lot of fun. Great, yet humbling, fun. I'll loiter and ask questions a bit when there's a shoot. Thanks.

I'm in Washington state, but thanks for the info about ammo needs for both. I have a few cases of SK std plus..jmdavis wrote:If you are in Norfolk, VA, look into Lafayette Shooting Club in Yorktown.

Re: Buying first target pistol; have a few questions
If it were my pick I'd choose the Pardini over the Benelli, they're similar but I went with the Pardini. The RF is only an advantage for Olympic Rapid Fire, otherwise its no advantage, gets a bit dirtier and I guess we will see if all the lightening of the bolt causes any longevity issues. The grip...

Re: Buying first target pistol; have a few questions
Thanks guys. As to what rules I'm going to play by, most likely NRA, though I am planning shooting only iron sights. If having the lighter bolt or lighter pistol was any advantage at all, I'd like to spring for the RF version. Murph, I think the non-RF Pardini SP is the one I'll be considering since...

Buying first target pistol; have a few questions
I'm going by the mantra "get the best you can afford". It worked well for me in smallbore rifle. Now that I've shifted focus, and realized how recouping budget from it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought, I'm ready to choose my next target weapon. So my question pertains to Benelli and Pardi...

KK300 and ammo rim thickness..
In the Bleiker thread, there was some implication that Bleiker carries different bolt lengths for either Lapua/RWS or Eley. I didn't realize there was a difference in rim thickness between Eley and Lapua, but upon a google search it appears that Eley runs thin, while Lapua runs thicker. It just so h...

Thanks for the replies guys. I've decided to get the high end glass. I'm only using 2 sizes currently, 1 for prone and 1 for kneeling/standing, so getting 2 pieces won't be too bad . And I like the fact that the glass and screw on holder are one piece, so I don't have to fumble with tiny plastic ape...

Centra "high end" glass aperture or adjustable?
I'm still using acrylic apertures in my 18mm front sight. I also haven't seen the movie "Titanic" yet. So It's pretty clear I'm still living in the dark ages. In my quest to upgrade my equipment into finer and finer detail, Ive heard a few people mentioning they've reverted from an adjusta...

Were just talking weight and balance here. You shoot a 1907, correct? Does the rifle's weight and balance fit you well? Your rifle is the lightweight version of the 1913. I believe the weights for a wood stocked std rifle and the precise stocked one are 4.8kg and 5.6kg, respectively. Depending on ho...

Ok here you go. It's a top down like your footing position drawing. Many of the placements are slightly exaggerated, but I did it to show the differences. http://gifmaker.me/files/download/home/20131108/05/qmHykhx3pL3icdrLH4wWqb/output_jzBMzT.gif So in the A panel was my before position, and B panel...

I had this problem before, and my position looked very similar to yours, feet included based on your drawings. I ended up reforming my position from the feet all the way up. Now my feet are on the tangent line, right toe pointing inside slightly, and the torso is twisted to the left, with alot more ...
