Im able to get the change in zero constant enough to within a few clicks when I change the sight position, but as far as what the different barrel tune that this introduces isn't something I can readily see, especially with my offhand abilities.

sliding front sight globe fwd/back between positions

I just bought a sight extension for my kk300 and it has a dovetail along the entire length of it. At first I thought it would be a good idea to keep the sight all the way fwd for prone and kneeling and then back into stock position for standing, since my wobble gets really bad with it at the tip. Th...

I think you just train for whatever event you're going to compete in, unless you're stuck indoors for the season. Training at 100y won't necessarily make you better at half the distance especially when there's wind. I think the wind makes shooting any distance very unique. I'm shooting at 50ft becau...

And no I don't work for em :D Been on a break from shooting but starting back up soon. Life is good when you got the blue...

While I don't have the 1907, I do have a later 1807 with the standard stock(angled forestock) that resembles the 1907, difference being that it has a rubber butt pad instead of a buttplate. I don't know if that's one if youre criteria. I train out of LARR almost every weekend and sometimes Tuesdays ...

But it costs $130 for a metal button, surely it must be magical!!! :P I realize its adjustability is simply there to help make you fit your rifle better, but I just thought it was interesting how MEC advertises its lateral adjustability specifically as way to reduce pulse transmission. Im just wonde...

handstop lateral adjustment for reducing pulse

I recently just got a Mec Handstop and it's already done wonders for comfort after switching from using the short, knurled kind. But one of this handstop's selling points is that its lateral adjustment can help reduce pulse transmission. How does this work? I thought that lateral adjustment was only...

Thanks for the insight. Im not sure if giving bullseye a shot is in my immediate future, (since my bank account has a gaping hole that dumps my funds into rifle stuff) but I have the opportunity to score an affordable used Sig Trailside from that same buddy. Its a 4" version. I have a ton of Wo...

Question for Bullseye shooters

I am not a competitive pistol shooter, though if I did get into competition, it would more likely be either a free pistol type or Bullseye. (I mostly exist in the olympic smallbore rifle section of TT.org) My question is kind of rudimentary.. I tried shooting a friend's SIG P226 X-Five.. That gun is...

I hate that handstop with a passion. It caused me so much pain it isnt even funny. I gave it to another shooter and he is complaining of the same thing. I use a MEC now. I like it much better. Adrian, If you want I will let you use it this saturday. matt Awesome thanks. Saturday will be judgement d...

Hey Adrian: I can recommend sbrmike's suggestion to use the Anschutz 4751 handstop. I used to have the little one like you have pictured (the 6225) - the one that came with the original stock - and it pushed undue pressure on my hand. The 4751 handstop is quite a nice one, good ergonomics and sells...

Hey Adrian, I really like your stock. It is exactly what I am looking for. I will propose a trade to you. I have an 1810 thumbhole Free Rifle stock with the proper buttplate carrier but not the correct buttplate. My stock is utility grade dark stained walnut and has it share of dings, dents etc fro...

Ok, Its getting better now. Kenny, I think the progression of adjustments in your post really works for me. First thing being sling length and forearm angle, then the handstop and possibly a combination with buttpad adjustment. Luckily, after adjusting the handstop to make the buttpad stick into my ...

The first thing I see is that your right shoulder is pushed way back so your spine is kind of bent. This is indicative of the handstop being too far forward. I think I moved the handstop even further forward thinking it would solve the "too high" issue, when in actuality the lengthening o...

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I snapped some pictures of myself.. Sorry for the bad quality pictures. I wish I could have gotten a higher and more straight down shot of me in position. But I hope theyre somewhat telling. I can see now that I definitely need to work on my left hand since Im do...
