Yes, I would like to participate in a Bullseye Pistol category on TT. The BE-L has an uncomfortable "signal to noise" ratio. That is why I made TT my home page. I have advanced somewhat past the stage of what oil or reload or other equipment is best and would like to see more technique rel...

Short answer: YES! When I first got my Rica I used it for routine dry fire. It made dry firing interesting and I solved several problems. It is very useful to try out different variations of grip and stance. Instant feedback. Now I get it out only for problem solving and occasional checks. There is ...

I am slightly left-handed. My scores are master level with the left hand and expert with the right. I have always shot some with my right hand. I found it was important to learn to use the right eye with the right hand and the left eye with the left hand. Scotch tape is usually enough to occlude the...

When actually firing a shot, score is an irrelevant distraction. There is a time to focus on scores and a time to ignore the score and make THIS shot. Performance anxiety is mostly based on score. Match jitters, trigger jerking and “choking” in general will be eliminated or at least greatly reduced ...

The big secret to programming the mind to pull the trigger in such a manner that the sight alignment is not disturbed and the pistol happens to go off at the right moment for another ten? Begin the trigger pressure and/or movement before the steadiest period and do not stop until after you notice th...

stance

I use a 90-degree stance and have an exceptionally exaggerated lean. Something unusual about my body allows me to seem to stack my ribs on top of each other and use very little muscle to hold myself up. The first time I went to Perry I was #52 in the P100. I was not yet distinguished and only classi...

You may be taking too much responsibility for the shot. Performance anxiety causes the decision making mind to step in and take over your normal trigger operation. This is completely normal behavior that has helped the human race survive. The answer could be as simple as convincing your self that yo...

In my opinion, the most important factor in success with a new pistol, especially one without trigger position adjustment is finding a good grip and re-train your trigger finger to release without disturbing the sights. Since there is no time to really develop good feel for this new grip and the exi...

I do not like the shaker boxes. There is not enough room between the pellets. The fingertips of my XXL hands fumble with the pellet. It is much easier for me to get one out of the tin.
