David, As an example, the standard hole size on the Rika LP5 system is 59.5mm. You have to order and fit the additional ISSF plates for the 5 target match. Although this leaves a 59.5mm black, the hole size is only 30mm. To put the difference into perspective, 59.5mm is the diameter of the complete ...

Warren, Point taken on the 8 shot C02 pistols. Thanks for the input, I believe I've saved $150. What do you think about the Aeron B98? Steve, Something will have to be done about the AP rapid fire soon. Too easy to clean the event. Expect rule changes soon. You are correct. This past weekend we had ...

New "10m Five Shot Air Pistol" Events

This past weekend I had to oportunity to compete in my first 10m Five Shot Air Pistol match. Two to be exact. A- The 10 m Air Pistol Five Target Event and B- The 10 m Air Pistol Standard Event. All the participants used the same FWB C55P. In review, I really enjoyed the course and pace of the two ev...

Have you ever attended an international pistol national cahmpionship in the United States? I think the poll question needs to be restated. Here are some problems with this question: 1- "Have you ever attended.....": What does this mean? Have I ever attended as in to watch or to participat...

This could very easily be another one of those mysterious Crop Circle Formations.

Did you notice any lights or energy spheres floating around?

A mercury switch, that allows you only to fire when the pistol is held horizontal. Then there is no need for a beam in the trigger assembly. Hence a 1,5 volt battery like in AP will do the job. The trigger of 84 E is great. The mercury switch sounds like a great idea and maybe good for "Men in...

Once again thank you for helping to guide this newbie!

It makes sense now as it reinforces the "Honor" sytem.

So I guess I'll be going "Postal" tonight.....(SORRY! I couldn't help it) ;-)

Luis

Gentlemen, As you can tell I'm new to the sport. Three months ago I attended a match here in Austin just to see what it was all about and eded up competing with a borrowed IZH46M. Since then I've been lucky enough to have found a Morini 162EI and a Pardini K22, both used but in excellent condition. ...

Bill, How does this competition work? Is the shooter responsible for securing a range in which to shoot? Who's keeping tabs of the time and enforcing the AP rules? Maybe it's up to shooter to maintain the integrity of the reported scores. I'd like to compete just don't know where to start. Thanks fo...

Champion Olympic frames ear wire lenght

Can anyone tell me what is the adjustability range for the ear wire lenght on the Champion Olympic frames? The Knoblochs come in one size 170mm; any other size is an accessory. Adding the price of the extra pair of ear wires it may seem like the price difference of the two frames becomes a non issue...

Pardini K22 dry fire.....(few words about the Nygords)

A couple of weeks ago I had the fortune of speaking with Donna Nygord about the K22 listed on the website's used guns section. I knew Mr. Nygord had already given notice about his delicate condition. I was sadden beyond words when only a couple of days after our conversation Don passed away. After t...

David and Tycho, First of all, thanks for the help! I think by now I've experimented (played) with the screw and trigger settings enough. Here are my findings: 1- If the top screw is too far out then the problem of the trigger not firing can be recreated. 2- You can set the top screw in incrementall...

David, As I read the old thread there is a very subtle difference between the problem listed there and the problem I have. The bulk of the solution given deals with the trigger being diabled intermitently. Step by step instructions are given to basically reset the trigger and reassembling it. My pro...

Morini 162EI Trigger Adjustment

My current trigger setting is not engaging the second stage at all. The shot gets released before any action on the second stage spring. If I turn off the switch and pull on the trigger, the second stage does eventually come into play. Not with the switch on. At first I thought that the second stage...

Morini 162EI circuit jumpers HELP!!!!!!!

I need help with this soon... While replacing the grip on my recently acquired 162EI I accidentally popped out two of the three circuit jumpers at the bottom of the circuit board. How you may ask. I was in the process of reconnecting the board inside the grip and didn't pay attention to the clearanc...
