I had this problem before, and my position looked very similar to yours, feet included based on your drawings. I ended up reforming my position from the feet all the way up. Now my feet are on the tangent line, right toe pointing inside slightly, and the torso is twisted to the left, with alot more...

Does it look normal and what is there I can test to overcome the tendency to fall forward against the toes? Have you tried moved the right foot forward? and is the heel higher than the front of the shoe? Yes I've tried to move the right foot forward. The problem when I do that is that my hip opens ...

Here is a picture that I have drawed that shows my foot position and the pressure on those. Does it look normal and what is there I can test to overcome the tendency to fall forward against the toes? How much tension is normally used in the feet? I need some tension to hold the balance, right or wro...

Yes on these pictures I have the rifle not in line with my left leg. I have it in line now but I haven't any new pictures. The position that I have works good I think it's just that I need more training in it to get it more consistent. I even managed my first 100 in kneeling a week ago, ending at 38...

Kneeling geometry
I align myself in the following way when I shoot kneeling. Middle of left foot on the target line and I position the kneeling roll so that my right shoulder is on the target line also, this makes the rifle to be on the target line. When I do this my kneeling roll is 10-15cm to the left of the target...

The competitions didn't go so good. But it's always a little hard to shoot good when some major change have been done, in this case lengthening the butt by 19,5mm. This was competitions that I would use as a test, in the middle of january is the competition that I aim at. In the first competition it...

Problem is not solved but the contact with the chest is less so that is a good thing. I get the feeling that my left arm(support arm) is pulling the rifle out of my right arm, this makes the NPA to go to the left. For me the first thought was that the butt is to long, shortening made it worse so tha...

I have had my first training session after the changes today and I ended up with the following adjustments. I flattened the lower part on the buttplate so I could place it a little higher on the arm. I lowered the cheekpiece to the correct height because it got higher when I mounted the weight there...

yes what Rob Stubs said. I would investigate raisng the cheek, piece and the sights. I myself. I too have a long neck and shoot with a lot of cant ......... In addition to the high sights and elevated cheekpiece. M- I can't raise the sights anymore because then it goes outside the maximum height wh...

I think he means your head should be more upright. Currently it's tilted forwards such that you're almost looking through the bottom of your eyebrow. To correct that you'd need to straiighten up the head and drop the buttplate down to raise the rifle (as you say you can't add any more raisers). You...

I myself think you have the head tilted forward a wee too much. The rest of the stance looks very stable. M In Missoura Okay, do you mean that my head reaches long forward or that I tilt it forward from the skullbase? One problem in this is that I can't put the diopter further forward because the l...

Sometimes other people must tell you what is obvious. As I read what you wrote Matt I did exactly what remmy223 wrote he did. I moved the black spacer that is a weight and put it under the cheekpiece, moved the carrier up and positioned the buttplate in the same height as before. It felt better with...

There's a subtle difference between measuring and evaluating and the two are quite different. You can use scatt to evaluate changes to a process or technical element - as you nicely illustrated with the comparison of two factors. Scatt can't though tell you if you're in the wrong kneeling position,...

I'm completely agree with Eric U on this one. I have only a fraction of the skill and experience that he has but I still get more benefits from either only dry firing with a dot on the wall or dry firing using my SCATT. For me it is a direct link between smaller trace and higher points on the SCATT ...

But a dry fire session is training, at least for me. For me dry firing is the best training there is and live fire feels more like a test to see the progress and to get used to shooting strings of perfect shots and high results. Dry firing is great training but it is different to shooting a match l...

Training sessions under different phases in training
I'm in my recovery phase in my shooting and have started my 12 month planning. I've read all about planning in Air rifle shooting and in that book it says that every training session should have a clearly defined competition. What are your thoughts about that. Should every session have a competition...
