Re: Walther lp400 vs morini

Just bought an LP400 Club Carbon Compact. Sold my Steyr LP10. The trigger from the factory is mediocre because the weight ratio of the the first and second stage is off, easily corrected. No reflections in the sights noted. The fact that the rear sight depth can't be adjusted is a non issue, plenty ...

Re: Steyr LP10 barrel shroud weights?

Paul, Many people are going to disagree with me, but the best combination I found for my LP10 was to remove all of the weights, including the barrel shroud, add a rifle trigger, a Nygord Turbo Comp, and a short air cylinder (believe me, I tried all possible combinations of different things that woul...

Rebuilding MPR Precision - Need Help

Isn't there supposed to be an O Ring between the bottom of the barrel and the top of the receiver where the two meet for the air transport? Mine didn't have one when I took it apart. If so, it definitely explains why I haven't been getting as many shots as I should.

Thank You,

Re: Need Help With AA/CZ200T

Thanks for the reply timinder. I've since found out that the longer Hunter version air tank is available from TGAG with gauge and front probe fill making unscrewing it unnecessary. An Altaros regulator (internal in the tank) can be installed for extra $. The longer tank should give about 30% more sh...

Need Help With AA/CZ200T

Hi Everyone, My AA/CZ200T adjusted to 622 fps average only gets 40 good shots with a spread of 19fps with a 170 BAR fill which is recommended by the factory for this gun, not 190 BAR like on the S200 version with the non-removable tank. This is aggravating because I expected more shots for such a lo...

Looking For Someone To Improve Avanti 753 Trigger

I've read the 10p files at Pilk on how to make the trigger on a Daisy Avanti 753 adjustable and lighter, but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone suggest someone who can?

Thank You,

Here's another two cents worth. What you are doing is the same as the person who goes out to play golf (choose your sport) without practicing first. Instead of learning the fundamentals of the sport, they think they can play it and learn at the same time, when all they are doing is wasting time and ...

That is one excellent point I have not considered at all, and thank you for bringing it up, the fact that a lighter pistol has the potential to magnify slight imperfections in trigger movement. I wonder how much of that can be compensated for by balance. Since wiggles and wobbles can be reduced by a...

Got some solid answers by buying both:

Long cylinder weighs: 197g.
Short is 161g.

Nowhere near the weigh difference I was told by retailers.

rover, But my LP10 ended up costing less than that, and I am now solidly in the Steyr camp. Thought you'd be all over it. Love to have the grip though. Guys, Most of the coaches today still teach by traditional, proven methods, handed down before the era of "dead" guns, and that's why you ...

I agree that the weight of a gun, particularly the mass, helps absorb movement caused by recoil, muzzle flip or other inertial oddities, particularly demonstrated in the unloading of any heavy vs light spring powered air gun with the same power source. But, now that we have a generation of guns that...

Todd,

You were right. The different rake is allowing your wrist to take up more of the weight, so the whole thing feels lighter. Thanks for the comment.

Gwhite, Over the last three years I've owned a Pardini K58, FWB 100, 5 IZH 46M's, Alfa Proj, Pardini K2S, and a Tau 7. That's why I knew what I wanted, and because of the surprising degree of adjustability on the LP10, including the weight and balance, it has become everything I could ever want. But...

Why You Buy a Steyr LP10

I’ve been happy shooting my IZH 46 (not the M version, too nose heavy) for about a year now, and set my PR’s of 499/600 and 89/100 for a single target with it using Vogel pellets. But lately I had been wondering if having a lighter, more adjustable gun I didn’t have to expend any effort cocking woul...

Steyr LP10 Air Cylinder Questions

Does anyone know the cc volume of the long and short air cylinders? Does anyone know of a way to unscrew the air cylinder from the fill adapter without losing a bunch of air? No matter how fast I try to unscrew it from the adapter, which is screwed into the K valve on my scuba tank, it seems like I ...

A little off-topic, but just to clarify, dry fire shots can be taken any time during your 105 minutes as long as you announce them, correct? For instance, I shoot 10 shots, sit down, relax a few minutes, maybe score my first target, then after "assuming the position" for my next target, I ...

Problem Solved! I finally threw in the towel and adjusted the velocity. The gun as it was sold to me was shooting R10's at 530 fps, higher than the 508 to 525 fps window that Steyr recommends for this gun, so it needed adjustment anyway. I just kept lowering it until it was at a comfortable, "b...

OK. I am a 480/600 average shooter wanting to improve into the 500's, and my PR of 499 was set with my IZH46 which has full-length sights of 365mm. I just bought an LP10, and since you say that I'm not competent enough to be using sights that long, what length should I adjust it to?
