Just the other day in Australia a politician suggested that gun owners be limited to only 3 guns each Politically point scoring obviously, a typical politician who has no idea that a professional hunter may need several rifles of different caliber depending on the game they were hunting or a target ...

Same reason I shoot one handed open sights at my club when everyone else shoots 2 handed and/or with red dots. I like the challenge of improving when it's difficult. Even shooting 1 handed I've been rated A grade in Field Pistol while my other disciplines I'm rated C grade and still sometimes shoot ...

From what I've read the stock weights are 25grms but 35grm replacement weights can be purchased for about 23 Euro each. I removed the weights and looked at the springs which seemed fairly flimsy IMO but I'm no gun expert. I removed two of them and the pistol fired just as well as with 6 but was noti...

I wasn't arguing about the initial costs .

My main impetus for the post was the over zealous laws in this country IMO which have only hindered the hobby shootist

Apart from table tennis there aren't many sports where the entry cost is below $1,000, most are a lot higher. You won't get a half decent mountain bike and all the gear for under $1k, set of golf clubs, membership etc etc. Its a spurious argument. I can name quite a few, martial arts for one, my gi...

Thanks

The legislation has changed considerably in the last 20 years due in part to events beyond the control of your average shooter. You used to be able join a club wait 3 months apply for license buy gun get temporary permit take gun in to police station to be registered end of story. Now you have to jo...

Finland

Mika are these law changes in Finland another typical Govt knee jerk reaction to what happened in your country in 2007 and after the recent Norway event. We had similar Govt intervention here after the Port Arthur massacre. They use these infrequent events as an excuse to tighten up laws ultimately ...
