To the OP, I also shoot Starline brass exclusively outdoors. I bought it in preparation for the wad gun that will be coming this year, from one of the men that Jerry listed, knowing that the chamber will be cut correctly. I purchased my brass at 1 time so I'd be sure it was produced in the same lot....

I think you all are being very foolish to ignore the free advice and guidance offered by Mr. Keefer.

Jerry, thank you for sharing as you have also done on several other forums.

Probably won't find it there. A person would have to attend a clinic to gain that insight.
Either way give the technique a try and see if it helps.

You're absolutely correct, the process I described is not the only way. I'm certain others have done well employing different methods. I use this same process in slow and sustained fire (for the first shot). I don't know where the free pistol comment came from as this is the bullseye forum. I though...

Take your pistol and raise it perpendicular to your body. While holding it solidly in that position take a breath. What happens? The gun raises. Now exhale slowly and observe what happens, the gun lowers. Its important to get your grip, wrist and elbow in the correct position before raising the gun ...

If a person does not use breathing techniques to control gun elevation then you're relying on tightening and loosing shoulder muscles. This leads to doing the same to keep the dot centered, which only adds another variable. If you practice what I explained previously there's no doubt that you'll bec...

I feel it's quite important. Before shooting you should have already attained the proper grip, hand and arm position. You inhale while bringing the gun slightly above the target and exhale to lower it into the black using that last breath to control the gun's height. For me I stop exhaling as soon a...

Completely agree with the previous responses. If you really want a Nighthawk then buy one off of Gunbroker there's some up there now.

Here's an R-1 that's been adapted to a fabricated low mount base, and inlaid into an Al Marvel rib. Very low, compact, and sturdy.. The extension tubes are threaded internally to allow the use of filters.. A most on bright sunny days.. The Micro is pricey, and hurts when you buy it, but what a dot ...

Steve Reiter refered me to Fred Totts, where I purchased my beefy mount for my H1. Fred makes the mounts and I believe the sun shades/ rain guards or whatever you want to call them also. Clarence Fred is who Brian uses also. He makes a great steel mount and can press fit the shades on also. The sha...

Makes perfect sense. The gun should become steadier as you squeeze the trigger. I don't like under 3# triggers any longer either.

Brian uses an Aimpoint Micro R1. That particular model, looks like stainless, isn't available any longer. But, you can get an H1 which is identical except for the finish.

BEA wrote:...faster lock time for a bullseye gun? That is the first time I have ever heard anything like that.
Lock time can probably be improved, but like you said it's a non-issue in a bullseye gun. If someone is concerned about lock time they probably need to be more attentive to trigger control.
