Thanks Matt. That is a good idea to use offset riser blocks and I will try it. I only shoot prone so once I get it setup I am good.

MEC Mark I SB stock
Does anyone have experience with the MEC Mark I SB stock? How much right hand offset, right hand shooter, is the stock capable of ? In other words, can you move the inside of the cheek piece to the right enough to line up with the firing pin? Any other comments would be welcomed.

Re: SCATT comparison - USB versus MX-02
Also, I plan to use this is in an indoor/outdoor area of the house which during the day is lit by natural light - can this cause problems and/or should it influence my choice? Going by my experience with my USB - YES, IT WILL DEFINITELY CAUSE PROBLEMS. I used to use my USB with the target in the co...

My daughter states she is now having problems determining if the target is in the middle. we have used Anshutz 3.7 - 4.0 18mm clear w/ bevel ring sized apertures. Any ideas what to try?? I know your brain suppose to be able to that automatically. ??? Sound like you need to try a "Centra Hi End...

Re: shooting glasses
Check out MEC glasses. I had Champion Super Olympic's and changed to MEC. The MEC takes a little more time to adjust but once set they stay put better and are a LOT cheaper.

You are talking about Joe Farmer and he is 86 years old. Shooting wise he is one of the best.

Re: Getting 25mm Champion Lenses made in NE Ohio?
Does anyone know of an optician in NE Ohio that can grind to size lenses for my 25mm Champion Frames? I was going to use 10.9, as they had a vendor that could do it, but they dropped that vendor due to spotty delivery times. Right now, 10.9 does offer some basic lenses in 25mm, but I need astigmati...

Re: Rear Iris
When I shot my friends rifle (he wanted to know if it shot or whether it was him - it was him) I initially set the iris to where I would normally have it and dialed in the focus to give a sharpish foresight but the aiming mark was REALLY grey and indistinct. the only way I could get an acceptable s...

Re: Iron Sight Offset Blocks
Alan,Tim and David, Thanks for your reply and I never though that there may be a "modified NSRA rule" in place. Maybe the NSRA can help but the NRA in the US is difficult to work with. The shooter in the US going for a Dewar team are told to comply with British rules and as I read the rule...

Re: Iron Sight Offset Blocks
If you think that your "+0.25 astigmatism" lens was hard to adjust you should try and get a sph= -2.67 cyl= +1.75 @ 51* lens lined up in shooting glasses. If you can get it right you must have your head in EXACTLY the same spot each time. If I could attach the lens to the sight I could ge...

Re: Iron Sight Offset Blocks
From the program for NotPerry this year: "Anyone wishing to be considered for the Dewar Team should fire the metallic sight matches with “British legal” equipment, i.e., 40 mm sling, optics in front or rear sight, not both." So you could mount the corrective lens in the back, but you woul...

Re: Iron Sight Offset Blocks
I'm pretty sure that there are shooters at my club that use both an Eagle Eye in the foresight and a vision correcting lens mounted on the rear sight. It is important that you check the NSRA rules for the UK and NOT the NRA (GB). Our NRA only controls Fullbore TR in the UK and as I recall they DO N...
