Is this rifle a so called 'Stutzen' or 'Stutzer'? It looks a little like a 'Drilling' but i'm not sure if this kind of hunting rifle was yet invented at that time. I'm not really good when it comes to rifle history.

Re: No wonder you can't hit anything!
Sorry Rover, also Germany is small in comparison to the US, Stuttgart is for me a little to fare away only for drinking a beer with an shooting friend. An for an Sauerlander Stuttgart is also always little short of foreign country. ;-) You know, the region i talk to Ulrich is the Sauerland, the land...

Re: No wonder you can't hit anything!
Hi Rover, we rifle shooters are smart. We know about the importance of pellet testing and we do it. So we don't need to talk always about it. Look at this result: http://meisterschuetzen.org/thread/5313-stammschiessen-2015/?postID=63425#post63425 You can't shoot that without a really good rifle and ...

Re: ISSF World Cup Prone - Clapping during Final Shots
Hi friends, i do agree with all as jet stated arguments against this rhythmic clapping and against this man made noise with instruments and so on. It is rude behaviour and it is so much disrespectful towards the shooters and i also don't like it as a spectator. For me it's a shame that some of the I...

So Bob i guess you quit shaving and now use your shaving brush to clean rifles? Hihi, after watching this fine picture i was thinking about the necessity to shave these Walthers. Does it make them only look more fine or will it also improve theirs accuracy? Never shaved as jet my Anni or my Diana. ...

Re: Sight raisers for shooting at 100 yards?
Hi all, For standard velocity ammo it looks like you should print 13.4 inches high at 50 yards or have 25.6 minutes on the sight. but that seems to me only true for centre your shots at 200 yards. Here in Germany we have a popular traditional match shooting small bore rifle at 100 meters in the stan...

There must be a dirty secret behind this shooting pants. Mine do this shrinking also, especially over the winter season. There must be a big conspiracy behind that. There can't be another serious reason.

Is there anything wrong with this fine beer from the Czechs? Or do you mean this rice brew thing from this faithless Germans named Anheuser and Busch? Sure, rice in beer is better (and much saver) then crocodile bile but why wasting time if you can get an Original Tannenzaepfle from the Black Forres...

Dear Guys and Girls in the colonies,
before you start some funny experiments, i can tell you,
we Krauts had some good reasons to invent the German Purity Law in 1516.

Re: How Does my Kneeling Position Look?
Hi Andre, not really sure, but it seems to me you are not using real shooting boots. But for good kneeling they are really important. You need a shoe with a strong flat and in the front not to much rounded sole. Second you need a kneeling roll with the right diameter so that your weight is spread ne...

... so hopefully from your 13.6 mm (10.5) group around 90% of your shots ought to make it into the 10.9 Here comes an test report from the Eley testing range in Germany and shows an at that time new testing record. The test shows a 40 shoots test with an 13,4 edge to edge group. But even this outst...

Re: Anschutz Zeller left hand model 54
Really interesting. But this special serial number starting with 1813 could be pure chance. Rifles form that time have six digit numbers in that number range and that X after the number. Lets put all together. The old text, the X number, the barrel with the dovetails are speaking for an (late) 1613....

Re: Anschutz Zeller left hand model 54
Hi fast996, your Anni is really interesting because one theory or better to say rumor says, the X number stand for a slotted bolt and X numbers were only used for the 16XX series As i saw your pictures first, i thought, it must be an 1613 because of the X number and the dovetail blocks on the barrel...
