Re: Lightest high end 10 meter air rifle
the cost is insignificant compared to the joy of being a mere mortal handed the gun equivalent of a Ferrari F1 car. And yes I know Ferrari got their ass whipped again this weekend......... I guess that's one of the fun things about target shooting. In the big scheme of things, the very best equipme...

Re: Is it just me or is this forum slowly dying ?
Shooting (whether it be precision or what-not) seems to be in the same boat as motorcycling... at least when it comes to the under 25 younger crowds... (sorry, don't mean to generalize, only my personal experience) - Why go-out and do something, when you can stay at home and play-at-doing-something....

Re: Who shoots other disciplines?
I like to punch holes in paper targets :-) Started as sporting rifle shooter, then ISSF stuff, then full bore stuff... Joined a club with a active bullseye league, so got into 22lr and CF stuff... While going to some pistol match, saw some guys shooting Free pistol, so had to give it a try (favorite...

Re: Lightest high end 10 meter air rifle
A Steyr LGB1 weights in at about 3.6Kg (slightly under 8 lbs), and while it's only about 1lb less than the LG110, it feels much lighter.
- As a middle-aged casual shooter, my scores off-hand are pretty much the same with either rifles.

I tried some of the more expensive Eley and Lapua stuff, vs Eley Club and CCI SV... and my results were pretty much the same.

Re: Pellet performance vs cost
I will never be in the Olympics, so why waste my money on more expensive pellets. If I ever get better than my cheap pellets, I may revisit this issue. Same here, did a few test with the air rifle and pistol, no noticeable difference in Group size between H&N Sport VS Final Match at 10M, had si...

Interesting stock, just recently stumbled upon it... I'd be curious to handle one.
As far as $, they seem like one of the better deals out there.

Offhand stand comparison?
Silly question: Did anyone ever compared the various offhand stands available?

Re: Any Ideas for fundraisers for small groups
Some things that worked for us in the past - Packing groceries at the stores - Fun shoot at the local range - Get some free publicity with the local paper (articles about your activities) and don't forget to mention that are missing/in need of this or that piece of equipment. You never who's going t...

Re: Sporters/precision
Had the chance to play with the Edge, I thought it was pretty nice. Very light. And got really good shot count for such a small cylinder. - It would make a lot of sens since you're already equipped for PCP. Another nice/somewhat inexpensive target airgun is the Daisy 853. And before I forget, my be ...

Limited run, from a manufacturer that isn't all that common on this side of the pond... http://www.daystate.com/saxon.htm + Yes, price "might" go up (assuming you get a real good deal on it) - But being so scarce might be more of a detriment. - It's a "new" model... Personally, f...

Re: Practice pellet recommendation and source
I guess it's about priorities.
- Don't mind spending $ on a hobby
- But if get the same results, and save $200... That's $ I can use elsewhere... or save it for retirement ;-)
Beside, it's Sunday afternoon and -20c... what else is there to do, than talk stuff over on a Internet forum?

Re: TargetScan app
+1 for Targetscan.
While the Android version doesn't have the functionality of the of the Apple version, it still works pretty good for me. I use it mainly for 10M AP.
Just make sure it sees all the shots before scanning the next target.
