I think your relationship with them is at best, one sided. Friends don't treat friends this way!

Well Dave, I'm not surprised. Lately, since reaching my seventies, I've been suffering from CRS in a big way. Unless they've increased the speed in their pistols, it's just cropped up again!:>) I'll make note to be sure, when I get home, to check the old records, and re chronograph my pistol.

155mps! That's over 500fps. If memory serves me, when first getting my 162E several years ago, out of curiosity, running it through my Oehler 35P chronograph, and finding the velocity about 365fps., with SD's down in the 1-2fps range, something almost impossible with cartridge ammo. I did my pellet ...

About my cheapest rifle shooting sport, in terms of money, not time involved, is Schuetzen. These use non-bolt action single shot rifles. The rifles I shoot include 8.16x46 Aydt, a Ruger #3 in .32-40, and a Rem. RB in .45-70. These rifles are shot offhand at 200yds. They use breech seated home cast ...

The pellet trap I built and have been using for about 20 years, uses the weight of the steel plate 1/4" thick, to absorb the impact without any rebound, since pellets are dead soft. The box uses 3/4" plywood for the front and back, and 1"x5" boards for the frame. The steel plate,...

Rather than getting a pistol that uses "Powerlets", I'd got for an entry level 10m. pistol, either a pneumatic (single stroke lever), of which there are several, or sometimes, a used mid-level CO2 can be found in your price range, since most shooters are going with the PCP guns. These woul...

Isabel, I'm no stranger to the traveling necessary to make ISU matches. For several years, until Fulton County GA., took the Wolf Creek Olympic Shooting Facility away from us(USA Shooting), I used to travel the 500mi. round trip at least once, sometimes twice a month, to train, and shoot the PTO's. ...

To All, Does the NRA hold different matches for iron sights and red dots, or are all competing together? I've about given up trying to find Int-style matches here in western NC, since Fulton County stole our Wolf Creek range, and The Citidel team has their new range in Charleston, and are no longer ...

Given the same inherent accuracy, A shorter barrel gives less "barrel time", which reduces the error caused by muzzle movement. Given the same holding error, a 5" bbl. will be twice as accurate as a 10" bbl. That's why some target rifles have "bloop tubes" to maintain s...

I wholly agree with Robin and Rob. You don't want any lateral movement to spoil your follow through when the shot breaks. I've got large hands, and was unable to move the trigger on my 162E far enough forward, and wound up purchasing an extended trigger.

Re: Why US Citizens are armed

I've hunted ducks and small game on Long Island(Suffolk County), most of my life. Why a few boys carrying long guns would frighten someone from LI, is beyond me. Back in the '50's The Metropolitan Rod and Gun Club, located at 162 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, NY, had a skeet range and duck blind on the ...

Superstring, I don't know. For me, "proper disposal" would be to flatten them one at a time, probably in strings of 60, and then add them to my bullet casting lead.

Didn't you see the "smiley" at the end of my post? Where's your sense of humor?

Jessy, I think you should go with your first instinct, and not take a chance using them. Since they are lead, a substance the EPA has very strict guidelines as to the disposal of, this can pose a real problem. Send me an e-mail, and I'll arrange to dispose of them in a proper fashion !:>).

Thanks, Folks.

Rob, Would he have to order the Mouche pistol mitten from Germany? I don't see any vendors in the States. The one source I've found for Mouche in the UK doesn't seem to carry the mitts, just the Pistol Jacket.

pistol shooting "muff"

Hi, I've just gotten back into intl. pistol after several years, and was out shooting my TOZ this week. Due to the cold, I used the muff(hand not ears), I'd bought years ago, and another shooter asked where he could get one. I wasn't sure where I'd goten mine, I hadn't used it since a cold day at a...

Doc Sexton showed me a neat way, several years ago. You fold a length of masking tape down the middle, and light it. It gives off more soot than anything else I've tried, carbide generators included. I also use it to blacken my bullet molds to aid in bullet drop out.

I also had trouble with my Morini, when I first got it. An occasional pellet would enter the chamber backwards. I agonized about how to remove it, especially during a match, and wound up cutting a length of 1/16" #360SS welding rod, and polishing the end, so it wouldn't scratch the bore. Someon...

I believe in trying the easiest fix first. Did you check the battery with a voltmeter? Or, lacking one, you might want to try replacing the battery.

I'd also like to add, that I think if there IS any graphite coating the pellets, it must be a minute amount. I don't remember any brand of pellet, showing any amount of free graphite, either in the bottom of the tin, or on the white paper disk such as H&N pellets have under the lid. Anyone loadi...
