John Bowers is the man who blued Sam Gate's sights for a long, long time. When Sam knew he was getting on in years and figured he had better pass the sight business on to someone else Bowers was the natural choice. Sam made the sights personally up to a certain serial number, then Bowers made them u...

Not aware that he has sold any. He has priced them too high, you can find a real Sam Gates for less then HP charges. Also rumor is Bowers is feeling better and is finishing a batch of real Gates and he charges less than HP. I'm sure the HP sight works just fine, I also hope he has learned to finish ...

Just a bit of info, I was about to replace my RWS 75 hand cranker with an Anschutz in the earier 2000's when the dollar and the Euro went nuts. All of a sudden the air rifles increased in price markedly. I was complaining about this at a prone smallbore match and someone walked up to me an offered a...

I have a 260 Remington long range prone rifle which is in a Sinclair aluminum stock. This stock was available in 2004 and was never made again. At that time my chosen gunsmith bedded the action to the stock as he was not happy with what he felt when tightening the action screws. That rifle is amazin...

I use a Leupold EFR on my smallbore position rifle and I use Leupold LR target scopes which are side focus for long range high power. I HATE the side focus scopes, they are not marked for distance because they are not repeatable. When setting one up you have to take your best guess and then do the &...

The problem seemed to be more about traveling by air plane and finding the stock in two pieces when you got to your desination. I know Ron Wigger went through 3 of them. I was shopping for a new 3P rifle at that time and bought a 2013 in a Grunig stock rather than deal with a stock that breaks in ha...

Master Class is good, but there is better for less. There are indeed cheaper stocks but none better or even equal. Just my opinion. Alex's stocks are flawless and his bedding is in a league of its own. DV4 butt plates are no longer available, Dave Vanderzee's Bridgeport broke down a couple or maybe...

Hello lord1234. I shoot a lot of different disciplines and service rifle is one of them. Don't get wrapped around the axle about getting an air rifle with exact AR type sights. Get any competition air rifle (a good one, the used pneumatics are being sold at nice prices these days due to everyone wan...
