Finally heard back from Walther USA after resending my e-mail of one year ago. Reply:

we dont handle the air rifles at all try CROSMAN CORP 800-724-7486

Well, if they had told me that a year ago I might have gotten this figured out by now.

No, never heard a thing from Walther. I did talk to 10X, (Todd Utter) the gunsmith at Camp Perry about it and he thinks he can fix it but I didn't get around to shipping him the rifle and now the indoor season is upon me. I'll be sending it to him in November I guess, after my matches are over. BTW,...

If its for smallbore you need 4 legs, one has to be at Perry and the other three have to be at Perry or at a regional and all cannot be earned in the same year. Already distinguished shooters are not taken out of the aggregate, you must place within the top 10% of all shooters participating. HTH

Air Rifle Storage

Should I drain my air tank for storage or leave air in it? Does it matter? Thanks!

What the heck, I'll take a crack at it. 1- My breakfast in competation I eat whatever, I just avoid coffee and heavy sugar and I try to eat two hours before the first shot. During the match if it is possible I drink water and eat things like bananas or PBJ sandwiches, not much but some every chance ...

I never got a reply from Walther, I've been shooting smallbore lately so I haven't used the air rifle in several weeks. This is about to change as I have an air rifle match in late January and need to start practicing. Walther has really shot themselves in the foot with this as far as I'm concerned,...

Thats all well and good but since my rifle has dumped more often when unscrewing it from the rifle does that mean the fitting on the rifle needs to cut back as well? I used the rifle in another match this past Sunday, no problems with dumping at all. Still no word from Walther.

Just got back from practice for another match tomorrow, the cylinder worked perfectly this time. After the last match one of the fellows showed me to back the cylinder off until it pops and leave it that way for storage, does everyone do this? Rifle shoots awesome, puts them where ever I hold it. St...

Thanks, I have a scuba shop pretty much on my way home so stopping for refills is no big deal. I'll stick with the 200 bar tank for the same reasons.

That raises a question, I know by reading my owners manual that my rifle is rated at 300 bar, are all others? I ask because I see that most air tanks are filled to 200 bar and the 300 bar tanks are unusual and expensive. Is a 300 bar tank worth the extra money? I'm not a diver and just started shoot...

Thanks folks, guess I'll give it a little while and see if it quits dumping. I do think a big tank is in my near future though. :)

Walther LG300 Air Cylinder Problem

Greetings, every few times I unscrew my LG300 air cylinder it dumps its entire charge of air. Is there something wrong with my cylinder that can be fixed or do I have to replace it? At $188 a copy I'm not in a rush to buy something I don't really need. Thanks in advance.

If your talking about the Freeland Electric Bedder, a barrel pressure device that was installed in the stock fore end, it was used in conjunction with a "flashlight" that came with the kit. Actually a continuity checker, the adjusting screws were backed out so they did not contact the barr...

New Range At Palmyra PA

Greeting fellow boardies. I know this range will be far away in PA for many of you but Erin Gestl like his family carries on the Gestl tradition of unselfish dedication to the sport of smallbore shooting. Erin and his Father Ernie have not only taught all of their juniors to be fine shooters (you wo...

I just got my Ray Morgan rifle back from Karl Kenyon. Haven't fired it yet but its definately my favorite! Schnider barrel, Kenyon trigger (Ouch! Man did he charge me for that!) and soon (I hope) to wear a Sitman stock to replace my Auddette stock.

Spotting Scope For Air Rifle

Greetings, I need a spotting scope for air rifle as my old B&L that I use for smallbore and high power won't focus at 10m. Anybody out there using a really cheap spotting scope for air rifle? Can you see the whole AR-5/10 target with it at 10m? Thanks!

Olimp-R, Temp, Sniper and Junior were all available several years ago. It was all great shooting ammo at a great price. Not sure if the US stopped importation or if Russia stopped making it or exporting it but none of this ammo has been available for a couple of years.

I checked out the Pelican, nice but its too small. I will need something like this eventually as I plan on shooting Bisley in '05. The hockey bag looks like the ticket, man is that thing huge! Thanks folks!
