Re: shortenned free pistol barrel

....May I ask how the recoil is with the shorter and lighter front? Also, have you vised the gun and to check on its new group? The recoil remains light and straight back into the arm. The mod just made the overall length of the FP60 about the same as the H160, so nothing unusual occurred in the fi...

Take a look at this article in Rimfire Central: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330394 Did the same to a FP60. 57mm were cut off the muzzle end, and the front sight assembly moved rearward. The result was balance resembling the earlier Hammerli 160 [sans weights]. In OEM mode ...

Has anyone use those pin hole diopter? http://eyepalusa.com/eyepal_how_does_it_work.html Can't you just make one yourself? Punch a small hole on a sticky sticker? or is there more to this? It is very difficult to punch or drill a precise small hole. If not accurately round and with clean edges ther...

Re: Cleaning Compensator

Soak the comp in Kroil overnight. The stuff seems to work its way under the lead/carbon buildup making it easy to chip off. Follow that with straight Simple Green cleaner and brushes. SG is excellent at removing gun crud from comps, bores, and actions. Both of those products can be used in an ultras...

Re: Fp10 - compensator

Hi! I recently had the chance to get the compensator of an dysfunct fp10..e distance between muzzle and the "insert"? And is this distance of any importance?... Beyond marketing bling, what is the need for a compensator on a 50-meter pistol? The bullet is long gone before muzzle lift, and...

I think most high level shooters use a "6'oclock" hold in which the front sight lies tangent to the very bottom of the black circle of the target... I think you'll find that holding the front sight tangent to the bull will give you an uncertain vertical displacement. Being that close to t...

18" x 13" x 3.5" works nicely for most 50-meter pistols if you don't stash a lot of junk under the lid foam. 16" should be fine for an air pistol, less for a sport pistol. You'll lose a lot of carry space if a pistol is positioned diagonally in a small case, so consider that. Ass...

If you wet your thumb and index finger with oil, then roll every fifth or tenth round between them, the ejection problem goes away. A couple of boxes can be done PDQ. Just a light film of oil is needed to break the stickiness of the brass. It also helps to keep carbon and bullet wax from fouling the...
