... first pistol of my own was a FAS 604...After that I had an Air Match 600... Prefer the modern pistols just for the ease of use if nothing else, it suits my laziness! I still shoot my 604 and 600. Your comment about laziness is easy to relate to these days ;-). The Airmatch does require some eff...

Re: Marschal Grips - Are they still open for business?

...I have tried emailing them but no response?...Are they still in business? After two years, I gave up waiting for TOZ grips ordered from Marschal. Although his website is still up, after our initial phone conversation and email correspondence, I've received no further communication from Dennis. D...

Just a wild idea... Why don't you take off the grips and stick it through the dishwasher? Blow it dry with a 90 psi air hose and lubricate afterwards... Why not just pee on it, that will do about the same job. We're talking about machinery here, not ceramics and biodegradable waste. Dishwasher comp...

The "flecks" are unburned or carbonized grains of powder, not lead.

Why would you think that using synthetic engine oil in your pistol would make your pistol last longer?... Technically, synthetic has better film strength to keep high-load parts from wearing and galling. It's splitting hairs, of course, YMMV. ;-) I prefer synthetic because it is very slippery stuff...

... who claimed he dunked his pistol in Mobil 1 and hung it on a dowel for a day or 2 to drain then wiped it down to dry the external surfaces. Struck me as beyond odd, but he swore by it. "Odd" works very well. Over the years I've dunked my plinkers and match handguns in Mobil-1, Castrol...

Re: Air Pistol for Bullseye SF practice....

> Any suggestions on using airguns for Bullseye practice? If the price won't spoil your day, consider the FAS 604. It's close to the size of a bullseye cartridge pistol and handles about the same. Airguns of Arizona offers the 604 with ambi or match grip. http://www.airgunsofarizona.com/FAS.htm I ca...

Re: FWB 65 -FWB 80 VS. IZH-46M

The FWB65 and 80 won a lot of medals in their day. In the hands of a good shooter they are still competitive. Their 65 would do everything the later model 80 could do. The 65 is a basic shooter while the 80 is pimped with marketing doo-dahs. I'd opt for the 65 any day. Both of the FWBs are large and...

Get a tank long enough to completely submerge the parts you intend to maintain. I use straight Simple Green household cleaner...

Only if it improves your scores. We are not clones, "proper" for one does not make it a rule for another.

I would guess that you could simply drill a hole in the clip on glasses and then use some black nail polish to darken the area around it..... Your shooting stance should not be determined by your line of sight through a fixed hole in eyeware. The natural posture of your body determines your stance ...

I had the plastic ones on a GAMO Compact AP. The rear sight melted when I tried to blacken it by smoking.
What were you smoking?
