Re: Anschutz vs KK500

I like Anschutz ergonomics better, but maybe that's just me. The KK500 stock has sharp edges, the butt feels flimsy to me, and the hand-stop rail has a curve in the back that I don't like. On the other hand, the grip on KK500 is very comfortable, like most Walthers, loading is easier on the Walther ...

Any stores for ISSF shooting apparel in southern California?

I have a friend traveling there who want's to use a opportunity to get some gear that is hard to find here in Israel...

Re: Anschutz 8002 vs 9015 One

I asked Anschutz the same question.
They said it is not possible, but I have not tried it myself.

Re: FWB 700 dry fire fails

We had a problem like this in one of the local clubs.

Is there any play in the safety?
There is a small metal ball locking the safety switch in place.
If I remember correctly, replacing that ball solved the problem.

I'm about to send my comments to the rifle rules. If anyone has something to add/change, please let me know. You can ignore the part about the vibration reduction... Safety flags – Will they be provided for the shooters? Scoreboards – Internet Service – Dress code – Jury Identification – Shoe flexib...

no extra time will be allowed to repair or replace a malfunction or disabled gun. Great. Make the match time shorter and no extra time if you have a problem. I expect long lines to get a gun serviced. And maybe the manufacturers starting to charge money for a standard checkup at ISSF events. And wh...

Quoting from a letter attached with this document:
We are sending this summary to all ISSF Member Federations now so that you are able to inform your athletes, coaches and judges about the rule changes and prepare to apply them in next year’s competitions.

F-coefficient is not a simple delay. If you set it high you'll see the shot hitting pretty far from your aiming point. It seem to me that it accounts for the time it takes for the pellet to reach the target. Nevertheless, it's not 100% true to live fire hits. The better your hold the closer it gets ...

If the block doesn't move once you tighten the screw then you're fine.

Just make sure you put it together in the same direction every time.

I use knobloch glasses for all my rifle shooting. I find them easy to setup on the fly between positions. I've tried champion glasses - they allow fine tuning of the lens position by having the frame threaded, but it means that moving the lens around is a very slow process. As far as I know, you sho...

I don't understand the question...

If you shoot with it and it hits the point you're aiming at, what more do you need to align?

I'd like to see a rifle with a short bolt and a sharp, snappy trigger.
But not over complicated like the Bleiker system.

Maybe a barrel with front sight rails that can also be used as an indexing for an extension tube.

That is correct. I haven't shot any reviews yet. I'll let you know once I get around to it. Basically, I want to pick a rifle up, mess around with it for a week, and then make my review. I may start with smaller parts like butt plates and sights, just to get the feel for shooting video and talking i...

200gr is very hard for an air rifle trigger.

I believe should be around 80-150gr, with a very light first stage (about 1/4 of the trigger weight)

I shoot with 120g and it's the heaviest weight on my team.

I personally hate ambidextrous stocks.
The grip is a compromise and is not comfortable in either hand.

I would recommend looking for a stock with an interchangeable grip, and an Ambidextrous cheekpice.

But I'm not sure you could find one that's not using compressed air and within this price range...

Hi, I just got an HD camera a few days ago, so no all I need is some free time. I think we have a shooter with a Challenger. It won't be my first review but I will definitely make one - if I'll get around to making these... From what I've seen, the Bleiker action is very complex. It shoots good - as...

I'll try to have a look when I'm on the range tomorrow.

For now I can tell you that the rear sight rail is about the same for Walther and Anschutz, and that Anschutz uses the same rail width for the front and the rear (excluding old models like the match 54).

I want to make YouTube reviews of Air and smallbore rifles

I'm thinking of making reviews of Olympic rifles I can get my hands on. I find myself looking for reviews or "unboxing" for products on YouTube before I buy them, but I can't find any on Olympic rifles. It'll help me a lot if some of you could write down things you'd look for in a rifle vi...
