Storm makes pretty good cases in my mind. Mine has served me well, and the airline gorillas haven't found a way to damage it yet. That should say it all.

If you can, slug the barrel. I have one where the barrel is .316".
.314" bullets don't work too good. I ended up casting my own to fit, and they work quite well. My other GSP slugs at .314", but I use the same ammo in both.

If you get in a room with a bunch of shooter, you will hear many times over, " I used to shoot one". I too find them to be a fantastic shooter, but unforgiving, meaning, if you make the slightest error, it shows big time on the target. Why, I have no idea. But all will say the same thing.

I wonder if it has to do with the combination of HBWC in 38 brass in a 357 chamber, in a revolver with a forcing cone. Is the skirt blowing out then being swagged back down as it goes through the cylinder mouth, the the forcing cone. It might have been the Lapua design. Have you tried DEWC bullets?

I might not have read this whole thread closely enough, but what's all the bitching and chewing about? Cf isn't an Olympic event. It's not shot at the World Cups, at least when I was shooting them. Yes, it's an ISSF event, but so is Standard and the 5-shot air stuff. It's there for us to shoot up to...

If you're only going to shoot it twice a year, I'd go with a K38. You''l have less invested, ammo is cheap and easy to find compared to some of the others, ( and it can be SWC, doesn't have to be full WC).
Personally I shoot a GSP .32 most of the time, but still keep a .38 or three just because.

I've just scanned over the replies, but didn't notice anybody responding to my way of thinking. Go back to the sub-6. Try it for a few months. You can't just make a major change like this, try it once, and then throw it out as no good. I went through this several times before sticking with it. I'd s...

I've dry-fired an E trigger, and to tell you the truth, I just can't see where it was any better than my M trigger. I have mine set up with minimal first stage, just enough to let me know where I am, but then it was set-up for rapid-fire. In my opinion, the triggers on my MG2 and M10 (which are basi...

As most, if not all .32s are European, they are made for 25 meter. The Europeans just don't seem to understand the deal with twist rates. The twist rate of all .32's from the factory are too slow for 50 yard shooting, and the bullet will tend to loose stability at the longer distance. Now some peopl...

We had quite a bit of bounce-back before we put the sheet-metal over the shelving board. The pellet would hit the board and spring back, but when it hits the steel, it flattens out the pellet and it only comes back a few feet.

That bar is hinged in 2 places. There is a string affair running to the bench and fastened to the bar, which pulls it up to reset the plates.

A friend and I each made a falling plate set-up when they came out with the provisional rules back in 2000 (I think). Cost us some time and less than $100.00. It's reset with a string, and we use a TargetTimer buzzer. The range officer uses his judgment as far as late shots go. Works quite well. We ...

Ken, I'm not familiar with the Izzy seals, but is it possible that you're looking at a used/deformed o-ring, and that it was just a normal o-ring to start with.
Just guessing. Let us know how you make out.

There's no reason why you can't start into RF with a 41. Will you be competitive with it, no, but not because of your equipment, because it takes many years of shooting RF to get to the top of the heap.
Take what you have, give it a go, and have fun. Rapid Fire is a hoot.
