Re: additional weights to pistol?

For a 1.5 to 2 pound air pistol, you need more endurance than strength. I am no expert, but lifting and holding 10 pounds exercises the major muscles but you truly need minor muscles for longer holds. It would be better to hold your regular pistol for longer periods of time instead of 10 pounds for ...

Re: FWB P8x vs Steyr evo 10e - share your experience

It is a personal preference as both air pistols are rock solid. However, I did purchase the Steyr Evo 10 (manual) twice and sold it. On both of those Steyrs, I felt the grip to be absolutely awesome and it fitted me vey well - I have small hands. To me, the cocking handle, sights and balance were no...

Re: TSA and Firearms at Colorado Springs Airport

Oh, one other thing - Security at COS air port is so tight that you need to plan at least 30 mins during non-rush hour and at least an hour during rush hour to pass through security. First, the TSA agent who screens your boarding pass against your ID is so darn slow and there is only one line to pro...

Re: TSA and Firearms at Colorado Springs Airport

Hello Reya, I had a terrible experience not with TSA but with American Airlines agent with regard to my Air pistol air cylinders when trying to return back home after the 2019 WAG competition. When I was checking in my suitcase which also had my air pistol, I told the American Airlines counter agent...

Re: recoil absorber purpose? follow through?

I shoot a FWB P8X as well. The absorber works very well with this air pistol and helps in calling the shot and follow-through. Now, with a lower recoiling air pistol and if you are process-oriented (Mastery shooter) and not result oriented (ego shooter) - from the book, Bullseye Mind, then an absorb...

Re: Sense of Hospitality Permeates ISSF World Cup Competitio

Please do not forget other hidden hospitality including making you feel wanted by the volunteers, range officers, US competitors (Keith S, Alex C. & James H. to name a few) US Army & Ft. Benning personnel & others - especially, to those who held the double swinging doors open at the Pool...

A good word on Pilkington Shooting Supplies

Folks, I want to share with you on a great experience I had with Pilkington Competition. I had purchased a smaller grip for my air pistol to try it out - it did not work for me so I sent it back. Instead of getting a refund, I opted out for a store credit as I was planning on getting pellets. When I...

Servicing Hammerli AR50 Alu Pro air rifle in the US

Anyone know where I can service my Hammerli AR50 Alu Pro air rifle? Walther Competition does not service them nor the prominent airgun product vendors. Appreciate any feedback.

Re: Flying with Pardini case

Hi, I traveled to Colorado Springs past month for the 2012 Winter Airgun Championship. I carried my K10 air pistol in its original case with 2 TSA small locks on the case and a large TSA lock for my outside hardshell suitcase. No problem with TSA. The case was sturdy enough - just padded the case ar...

Sight alignment issue

Hi Narayan, The problem could be that you may be torquing the grips or have the wrist bent or have the natural point of aim incorrect. With regard to the torquing of the grips, when you first grip the pistol grip, turn it around (with the air pistol unloaded of course) and see how your fingers look ...

Informal 10M AR

Hi Bob, Look into IZH MP532 made by Baikal - available at the airguns of Arizona. I have this rifle and plink informally at 10M - it has got a good trigger, ok sights but a non-adjustable cheekpiece (you may have to attach a wooden or styrofoam block using duct tape to the stock). You will enjoy sho...

10M AR in Jacksonville

Hi Todd, Check out Gateway Pistol and Rifle Club in Jacksonville. They have a 10M AR range, a 4H club and if I am not mistaken, a coach. They meet twice a week and used to have USAS sanctioned AR PTO. The club is famous for having its shooters (particularly to the ladies) being selected to universit...
