Re: comparing the Listone Victor and the Alfa Proj??
If you can find one the styer LP1 can be converted to PCP. Styer still sells the conversion. Krale has them..only high quality CO2 thay has that option thay I'm awair of. I have the listone victor and their larger PCP pistol which is a copy of a walther Ap20.. decent pistol and trigger. Its called ...

Here is a link to the Walther CP series V2 air tank. I am not sure it is much use, but it shows the same shaped valve assy. This is from Earl's Repair Service, Inc. web ssite.

I usually used old bicycle inner tubes for this type of application. The bike stores are nice and give me bad ones for free.

Re: Older Tier 1 SSP and CA/PCP Rifles?
All and all a rather good diversity of opinions. Seems that the main obstacle for C02 is finding a rifle with that power plant. While I'd hesitate to say I've done extensive research, I've only turned up the FWB C60/C62 and Steyr Match 91 as CO2 precision models. Walther LG90 and CGM were CO2 power...

Re: What to get for a cheap newbie?
That is $385 for an IZH-46, not IZH-46M. the IZH-46 is 50 fps lower velocity but is easier to cock than the IZH-46M and has a 12mm shorter compression tube. The 46 weights 40.3 oz, compared to 45.8 oz. for the 46M. I prefer the IZH-46 and rarely do I see them forsale.

Re: Pellet tin insert
What about putting a generous bead of RTV or similar adhesive or sealant around the ring's inner edge and then forming it into a generous radius of your choosing?

Re: S & W 78G ragged holes
Hopefully you have one of the early versions of the 78G with the adjustable trigger. The eliminated that on later production. I presume too many folks were screwing up the trigger mechanism.

Sounds like to need to get Boot Camp on your Mac or visit a friend with a Windows computer who does not mind you downloading strange executables (virus check first).

Re: Air Pellet Shelf Life
My anecdotal observations is that German pellets in tins seem to have much less issues with oxidization than individual packs as shown. I suspect that the metal tins I have used are better sealed. The tins also have higher pellet density and thus have less oxygen per pellet than the individual packe...

Re: Center fire free pistols
Hmm...
You could probably put something together with a T/C contender (single shot, interchangeable barrels) and a 10" octagonal 38 special barrel (lower weight) and a custom grip. But the trigger is not in the same league as typical free pistols.

Looks like a pretty good list of FWB pistols. I see it is missing the C5 and C55 repeating C02 pistols. Is there any other pistols not on the wiki list?

For reference, there is a CO2 LP5 on Gunbroker.com that has a current bid of $1026. Pretty suprising since it is labeled as a Steyr 91.
