Re: SCATT comparison - USB versus MX-02
http://www.accurateshooter.com/gear-reviews/review-scatt-mx-02-electronic-trainer/ In case you need further prodding :-) I think Tony mentions somewhere in there that, if you don't already have a SCATT, the versatility that the MX-02 offers makes it well worth the price. He also goes over some of th...

Re: SCATT comparison - USB versus MX-02
I have attempted to use a SCATT USB previously both outdoors and in a house that had tons of natural light. My advice to you is don't even bother, just go straight for the MX-02. I found that if any portion of the path between the frame and the sensor had direct sunlight, I got so much interference ...

Re: SCATT data interpretation & usage links
I'd go so far as to vote for a sticky on this one. It's certainly a question that comes up fairly often, and I agree that it's very useful.

So if you just want something that will support the gun while you're not holding it, then one of the below should do nicely for you: http://champchoice.com/store/Main.aspx?p=ItemDetailOptions&item=1993002 http://champchoice.com/store/Main.aspx?p=ItemDetailOptions&item=001098 http://champchoi...

Re: Olympic Air Rifle shooting in Los Angeles area?
You want the JuniorShooters.com website. While we do shoot at the LA Rifle and Revolver Club, the Junior program there is still (technically) a separate organization. At LAR&R we are primarily focused on smallbore. In that we feel we are quite good: we have many shooters over the years who have ...

Re: Sling
I ordered one of these based on the opinions of many here. http://www.hataservices.com/precision--smallbore-rifle-slings.html I was just about to recommend the Hata Sling, too. Yuji's a great guy, and his slings are excellent. They're very similar to the Kurt Thune Double Buckle in material and con...

I've only flown Southwest, but I've had my iM3200 up at 49.5 lbs. as well, and never had an issue. Only issue I ever had was when I left my locks in my gear bag and checked it in first!

Not sure if you can anodize a Precise, but they seem to Cerakote just fine.

Re: 10.9 shooting mat(s)
I used a 10.9 mat for about a year. It's not a bad mat, probably one of the best for the money. The replaceable foam is great, as is the ability to open up the mat and air things out when they get wet. Construction was decent: not the best, but certainly adequate for the price point. The rubber is n...

Re: Dehumidifying a Gun Safe
Many safes have a power pass through built in. They often have an RJ-45 pass through for a network cable as well, in case you want to secure a server. Not sure how those handle heat, though.john bickar wrote:How do you get the power cord into the safe?

I know he was shooting the LR matches at Perry (and possibly other things, not sure), so he may be a bit behind at the moment. He's always been incredibly helpful, even returning some of my emails while he was at a match in between strings. But I know that waiting is the hardest part!

Re: 6br 300m & NRA Midrange Anschutz Precise
I agree with Corning that you may want to look at a different sight for your purposes. Besides the durability question, the adjustments on the Anschutz sight are just too fine for this type of shooting in my opinion, and too easy to get lost in the wind. Durability shouldn't be an issue. Multiple p...

Re: Is this a Anschutz 1913 or 1914 stock?
I would still buy it. There aren't really "men's" or "women's" guns in this sport, other than who happens to be holding it. In the future, this gun will actually be easier to sell than a full-on 1913, because your market could include Juniors and people who shoot 3P. To put this ...

I would submit that there are a wide variety of ways to add weight to a rifle. If it were me I would pull the trigger on it!

Re: Anschutz 8001 velocity is way too low.
As Andre mentioned, it's probably better to send your 8001 to someone who knows Anschutz. Our gracious host (http://www.pilkguns.com/) or Joe Hein (http://eliteshootingsport.com/) would be my first two recommendations, assuming that you are in the US.

Re: cross eye dominate
I agree, time to get her shooting left handed; either that or consider a set of outriggers for her sights.
I say this because you've tried a blinder for a year, and she still just sees the blinder instead of the sights.

Re: Offset sights for prone
This comes up now and again, most recently at the link below. http://targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=48827&hilit=offset Generally, if your only concern is eye dominance (e.g., you're a right-handed shooter who is left eye dominant), then a blinder over the eye you're not using is the pref...
