Re: cleaning anschutz 1913 22
Interestingly (or not!) VFG themselves recommend a slightly different way of using their products: They tell you to put TWO felts onto their adapter, push through the rifle until the first felt comes out of the muzzle, then pull back to cause that one to drop off the adapter, then scrub your way bac...

Re: Scatt trace feedback
Well, I suppose you could put it on a rifle and clamp that securely to a bench to see what the "noise" factor is, but really it's best used as a comparative tool, not a substitute for an electronic target. Do some training with it, establish a baseline for you, your SCATT system and the ki...

Re: Scatt trace feedback
I was quite surprised too! I'd like to try it somewhere else so I can see if it's an issue with this particular system, or my house.KennyB wrote: 30mm does seem a little on the high side - with the USB SCATT I was getting around 12mm (24mm worst ever) and the MX02 seems to give around 6mm from a rest.

Re: Scatt trace feedback
The fact that your hold is a little low and to the left is probably just a calibration/zeroing issue with the SCATT itself. You could try using the option to centre the group with the target (haven't got the software here to tell you exactly where it is but it's the same dropdown as the "F"...

Re: Trigger travel past break point?
Al, yes I agree with what you're saying about the importance of good trigger technique. Where I was coming from is that in pistol shooting, the only points of contact are the holding hand and fingers, so if you cock it up, it has a bigger overall effect than it would in rifle where you've got other ...

Re: Trigger travel past break point?
Maybe it's the case that the trigger finger in pistol has a much larger influence on the hold of the pistol, as compared to rifle shooting, where the trigger is so light that operating it should have no discernible effect on the position of the rifle as it's so firmly supported by the sling, both ha...

Re: anschutz rear sight question
Which side is the windage knob on? If it's on the left of the sight then you've got a left-handed sight, so even though the rotation of the windage shaft will be the same, you rule won't work as you're coming at it from the other end. Think of it as rolling the knob forward to adjust left, then it s...

Re: Need Help With AA/CZ200T
You could fit a regulator, but that would fit between tank and trigger mech, so it would change your CoG, and you wouldn't necessarily get any more shots out of it.
I used to have a standard S200 and the longer tank (with no gauge) is removable. I'd try one of those first.

Re: Making your own Adjustable cheek piece for a smallbore r
I've made one for my Walther GX-1 from a length of aluminium angle, a couple of bolts and a piece of self-adhesive foam. It's really, really ugly (as everyone in my club keeps telling me) . But it works quite well. I made it because the original wooden one was way too wide for me to get my head in b...

If you say the eye's iris has no effect on your vision - try this: look through the sights (both eyes open) towards a relatively bright wall and note how much of the front sight is within your field of vision. Now cover the non-aiming eye with something opaque and see what happens to your field of v...

Todd, looking at your photo - it seems that your jacket is a bit too big for you: There's loads of material bunched op around the back of your neck and shoulder, which won't help with your head position (pushing it down) or your buttplate location. It also looks fairly loose across the shoulders whi...

You mean Canada like in his sig? :) For what it's worth, I would agree with most of the preceding advice: Stretching before firing, moving the sights back and using the sling tensioner to account for any sagging you get. Another way around this if you don't have a tensioner is to start off at the to...

Yes I know that some people will say that my stock is not adjusted correctly, but I tend to do this no matter where the cheekpiece is, perhaps it's a bad habit that I need to sort out. I would think that most people would say this! Of course, if you don't have an adjustable stock, then you have to ...
