I think I will drill all the way through like you said (I had to do it on my wood box) and then use some fender washers to reinforce where the screw heads go through.
Thanks Mark

Help with a Pachmayr 400 pistol box
I just bought one of these beauties brand new for 100.00 bucks. It is a great box but how in the world will I mount my scope mount? I don't see any place to do it unless I drill through the door. Does anyone have one of these boxes with the scope mount installed so I can see how to do it without scr...

What kind of sight for a model 41
A standard Ultradot would be an excellent choice for your pistol. I think by far they are the most utilized in bullseye competition today. At least where I shoot here in Oklahoma City.

Re: Help choosing a bullseye 45
I have a MCP and I absolutely love itl I would not by any other 1911.landshark wrote:$2800 for the MCP is a bargain. Buy once cry once. You'll never have to buy another 1911, or worry if you should have bought something better.

But please note, I have a wad gun that I normally shoot in bullseye but, my hard ball gun (a caspian) shoots lead bullets just fine and I shoot it in Bullseye matches when I am prepping for an EIC.

I to own two Marvel precision 22 conversions. One with iron sights, the other one with a rail in order to hold my Ultra Dot. Bot are great units and I have had absolutely no problems with them what so ever. Gunsmiths that get so busy that they simply cannot respond to emails or phone calls from cust...

I just bought a K38 and I truly love it. The stock grips left much to be desired but once I put on a set of Houge target grips I was off and running. Can't wait to mend from my thyroid surgery so I can go out and shoot it again.

You need to start dry firing a lot, also if you are a right handed shooter, you may be inconsistant as to where you are placing your finger on the trigger. That is what my mentor would want me to do if I was shooting like that.

Custom guns
Roddy Toyota is a very knowledgable guy, I don't have one of this guns, but he built me a 22lr chamber checker that works fantastic. If I ever get a custom gun built, he would be first on my list. Bore brush
I use a 25 caliber bore brush bent at about a 30 degree angle. I now use it with a handle from a RCBS primer hole cleaner. It works great and I keep it in my gun box all the time.
