inconsistant ultradot
If the gun is shooting left and then right, please check your stance. My Marvel conversion with an Ultra Dot was doing the same exact thing. It wasn''t the dot, it was stance. Good luck.

Cryo barrels and parts
I have been looking into getting my barrel, hammer and sear on my competition gun cryogenically treated. There are several places across the country that does it and I believe that the one in Scottsdale Arizona is the one I will go with. I think if I do this on a gun with the trigger perfect, it wil...

Is this subject pertaining to a match? or when practicing. Because I use a MP3 player all the time when practicing timed and rapid fire. I use them under my hearing protection. But I only do it during practice.

Mountain Competion Pistols - My experience
I have a Mountain Comp pistol that my wife bought me for our 30th wedding anniversary. I have a couple of hickups with Dr. Nick at first but he graciously fixed that problem and I had my pistol in a record time of 3 weeks. He has contacted me numberous times (at least six) and had lengthly conversat...

Re: Champion Choice Red Dot
Looking through the catalog, I noticed that CC has a 30mm tube red dot scope for a reasonable price. I have several UltraDot brand scopes. Does anyone have one of the CC brand red dots? Do they have click adjustments for the windage and elevation? Do they hold up? Do they have a repair center that ...

Champions Choice Red Dot
I have the multi dot on my Mountain Competition Customs pistol. It works great. I do know though that one click on the sight moves the shooting point a lot more than on the Ultra Dots. The quality of the scope seems as good if not better than the ultra dot also. I would buy another without question....

Mountain Competition Update
I have shot my new pistol twice and I must tell you that truly enjoy this pistol. I am so lucky to have a wife that supports me in this sport and buys me such a beautiful gun. I took it apart today and what a beautiful gun. The slide to frame fit is awesome, just awesome. The groups are getting smal...

New pistol
I got my new Mountain Competition pistol last Thursday and I shot it for the first time Friday. All I can say is that I love it. It is the most beautiful pistol I have ever held or owned. I look forward to many years of enjoying this fine handgun.

Got my Mountain Competition Custom this evening
I just picked my gun up from the guy that recieved the gun for me. It is an absolute work of art, better that I expected and truly beautiful. Jerry the guy who Dr. Nick sent it to for me told me that he has sold and recieved hundreds of various guns and never, repeat never has he seen a more beautif...

Dr. Nick
Well, I owe Dr. Nick an apology. He contacted me this morning and indicated that Brian had shot my gun and was not happy with the trigger. In the interim, the gun was fixed but was forgotten to be shipped. It has been sitting on the bench ready for shipment but didn't go out. Dr. Nick graciously apo...

Dr. Nick
He did not run 1/2 of the cost of the gun, he charged me the full 2700 anda told me that he had fired the gun at a match to "test" it. He indicated that he was going to clean it and send it out to me. I don't know how long it takes to clean a gun according to him but I refuse to wait weeks...

Wjat barrel
My Mountain Customs pistol uses a Schumann barrel. They are supposed to be the premier barrel but the cost is prohibitive. But when you are spending 2500.00 bucks for a wad gun that's what you apparently have to do. Dr. Nick tests every barrel that he uses in each one of his guns. This brand has the...

Oiling first round for timed and rapid fire
I had people tell me to do that when I first got my Marvel conversion for my 1911. I was having all kinds of problems with the first round failing to chamber. What I found out was that the chamber was fairly tight on the new gun and by using a 25 caliber bore brush to clean my chamber after each 5 r...

Marvel slide lock
I don't believe that the Marvel conversions should have the slide lock back on the last round. From I understand it is too hard on the soft aluminum slide. If you look on the Marvel precision website the say the same thing.
